So disappointed in Pavone's Pizza on Bridge St. I ordered a calzone on door dash and this is how it came in an open paper bag.

I grew up in Syracuse and lived on Pavone's Pizza for a good decade and a half. I haven't lived in Syracuse for a good 30 years but come back to visit family. This time we were on a college visit to SU and stayed in downtown Syracuse. It was a Saturday night and we ordered a large cheese and large pepperoni pizza. Of course I had talked Pavone's up to my family etc. Unfortunately, the pizza has changed drastically, as things do. The days of the really thin, crispy crust with the right amount of sauce and cheese are gone. The pizza was good, I guess, but nothing special that you couldn't get from any pizza place. The crust tasted fine but it is thick and chewy. Change is good sometimes but not when it comes to your favorite pizza. Bummer.

I've been to Pavones a few times and was always thrilled with the pizza. I ordered a few Months ago and it wasn't the same. The crust was rather hard, good sauce and toppings. Still give it a 4.

Placed a $233.00 order that we picked up. We asked twice if everything was there, told us yes. Got home and 2 large antipastos were missing. Called and they didn't think it was their issue because we ordered through grub hub. After asking the manager they agreed to deliver. While getting everything out the stromboli and calzone were so burnt they were not even edible. Sent those back with the driver who finally brought the salads. No call to apologize or offer replacements. Not sure what happened to Pavones but will not be ordering again.

Grabbed a couple slices for my daughter and I. Still very good as it has always been.
Wings were hard as a rock, dry, and inedible. 0 stars. Hate to write a bad review as their pizza is great, but on wings today they really dropped the ball.

Twice I have been here and asked for extra mushrooms and both times the worked used bare hands after handling the cash register. I explained to the workers how unsanitary that was.

I ordered 2 calzones and a pizza at 6 pmAt 7 pm I downloaded the * slice app * to track my order, IT WAS CANCELED 2 mins after I placed the order, The money was taken out of my bank account and had I not downloaded the app I would have never known. The man I spoke to on the phone didn't care he said well we have no Sicilian pizza anyway." Well, with that being said, you had plenty of time to call to let me know I was not receiving my order. Poor communication, lack of courtesy, and respect !

Ordered a Hawaiian pizza online to see how it compares with others we've had. As always, the crust is impeccable, the sauce and cheese are delicious. The pineapple topping was fairly skimpy, and at first I thought that they had mistakenly put on red onions, but it turned out to be very thin strips of ham. An even skimpier portion. Next time I will order double pineapple and ham. But overall, we were pleased with our pie.
