I ordered shrimp with broccoli from East Bamboo Chinese Restaurant and was very disappointed. The broccoli and sauce were very bland, and the shrimp tasted bad and seemed spoiled. I called the restaurant to let them know, but they told me the chef said the shrimp was fresh. Unfortunately, based on the taste, that was not my experience at all. Overall, the food quality was poor, and I would not order from them again.
So I got the spicy chicken and eggplant. I asked for it to be extra spicy. The dish was one of the best chicken and eggplant dishes I’ve ever had. I can tell that it was spicy and I can see that it was spicy and I can feel that it was spicy but it didn’t taste spicy at all. Zoom in on the pic and you’ll see the chili flakes. Had dinner here and absolutely loved it! The Chicken Pepper with Onion and Shrimp Chow Mein were both delicious — full of flavor and perfectly cooked. The portions were generous, and the service was friendly and attentive. Definitely a spot I’d come back to for authentic Chinese food!
