A great meal with plenty of atmosphere. We have eaten here before and the things have been great. Today for the first time we had a small problem with our food order. A little mix-up which they fixed quickly.

Nancy and her team do an amazing job. If you haven't been to Bailiwick, get there. The mulled cider is super yummy.

Great spot for lunch while I was traveling. Plenty of country store decor for sales. All homemade style food which is very good.

We came for the haunted Halloween hay ride and wanted coffee before we got on. We were told we would have plenty of time.

We ordered two coffees and waited. And waited. And waited. My wife walked up to the counter after dozens of ordered went out, many of which were made long after ours. She stated we had been waiting a very long time for our order. The old lady in blue snapped “can’t you see the line of people? We haven’t made it yet! You’ll get it when it’s done!”

At this point they’d already called our number for the ride, and we had to pass on it to the wait longer for our drinks.

Finally I gave up and asked the kid for a refund. The kid was nice, he checked and they were actively making the drinks then. I said “no, I appreciate it. Just a refund please. If the woman in blue had been nicer I’d be more patient”

He gave me the money back, she shot me a dirty look. Never got her name, but she was miserable and ruined our enjoyment of the day and the establishment.

Individuals with allergies beware. This establishment sells pints of ice cream with zero labeling which is a violation of law (see below). Young kids working who had no clue what is even in the ice cream and printed sheets do not include all varieties. Consumers need to count on a business to take this seriously and be responsible. Onondaga Food Protection Unit to be notified.

What the label must include

For foods in package form, New York adopts the federal labeling rules. That means each pint needs:
• Identity of the food (e.g., “Ice Cream – Chocolate”)
• Ingredient list in descending order by weight
• Major allergen disclosure (milk, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, soy, wheat, fish, shellfish, sesame)
• Net quantity (e.g., “1 pint (473 mL)”)
• Name & address of the manufacturer/packer/distributor.

New York’s Dept. of Agriculture & Markets explicitly points to these “five basic label requirements,” and Part 259 of the NY regulations adopts the federal (21 CFR) food labeling framework.

Ice-cream-specific notes

There are some dairy‐product labeling nuances (e.g., how certain colors or additives are declared), but they don’t remove the core requirement to label packaged pints and to disclose major allergens.

My wife is vegan and simply asked the woman working at the counter if the veggie burger/bread had egg in it. The worker rudely replied “ummm yes why would you think it wouldn’t have egg”. Perhaps she should try a different profession, one not in customer service or hospitality. Will not be returning or recommending this place to anyone.

A bit pricey and the kid's pizza is clearly just the Costco mini pizzas, but it's largely a lovely place. They have Jets stuff too, which is a nice added bonus.

I ate there the other day the food was over cooked and nasty

Enjoyed lunch and gift shop here today with my aunt and would just like to highlight the super great young man who was working the cash register today between 11:30 and 1 pm.

Recently had my wedding rehearsal dinner here and it was wonderful. The gazebo was warm with heaters and the food was delicious. I would recommend bailiwick for events. They were wonderful with communication and made the whole process easy. I also frequently grab coffee/ice cream here when I am visiting regularly and always love whatever I order.
