We needed to unwind, and this evening was just what we hoped for. Quiet, relaxed atmosphere with delicious drinks and food. I highly recommend the Old Fashioned

We ate here on two occasions- food was great, wine was great — definitely recommend to anyone traveling in the neighborhood.

Food was warm, by no means hot. Servers weren't very attentive and after asking if anything was needed they forgot that we asked for coffee. Ambiance was overall good. I'd like to give the restaurant another shot at a later date, perhaps it was an off day.

We came for restaurant week and left very satisfied and full. Great selections and portions for everyone in our party.

Very sweet waitress, tables a little close together, could have done without bidders cleaning tables next to us with spray bottles while we were eating. The duck was excellent, could have been a little crispier

Outstanding local restaurant part of a complete getaway complex. Service and ambiance were terrific. We enjoyed our meals.

It was a very good experience. My old fashioned was tasty and the short ribs were excellent. My husband really enjoyed the burger and a 9 oz pour in a beautiful carafe. And the bread- yummy!

Wonderful atmosphere and beautiful venue. We enjoyed a lovely Hudson Valley Restaurant Week meal here with excellent food and service. Thank you, Eldred Preserve / Homestead Restaurant. We hope to be back someday soon.

My husband and I stayed at the Eldred Preserve hotel, so we ate at the restaurant twice (dinner both times). Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely come back in the future! I have a severe dairy (milk) allergy and they were really great about accommodating that and allowing me to safely enjoy my meal. (I notified them about it ahead of time.) Both dinners were really great! We ordered the steak several times, with the loaded baked potato and the steak fries, as well as the French Onion soup and the shrimp cocktail. The only slightly sub-par item was the duck. Since it's a half duck, you get the breast and the leg. The breast was amazing and delicious, but the leg was dry. I think this is just because duck legs are quite lean, but it seems like they should just treat it different (like a confit preparation). The sides that come with the duck were excellent. Overall the food was really enjoyable. The staff and waiters were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. The ambience was great. We went for a very early dinner on Saturday night and a 6:30pm dinner on Sunday. Since this was mid-October, I think the area is in the off season / shoulder season and it was maybe only half full. But it might be more crowded during peak times of year.

My partner and I visited here once yearly the past few years on vacation. We love fine dining at home, so we look forward to this as a rare option. We actually had something to celebrate this time (a surprise engagement that day!) so we were looking forward to celebrating with an amazing meal. However, we had a disappointing experience. Long story short, we were sat and forgotten about for at least 15 minutes (no water), service was slow and inattentive, food was lukewarm and not salted enough. We cut the meal short after bad service and a lackluster meal. We will consider other options next year. Sad, considering this will be our engagement memory!

I am the adult leader of the only Youth Group under Sullivan180 and since two of the group are in college and three more entering in September, I wanted to continue to broaden the life experience of these first generation children of Hispanic immigrants. We were warmly greeted at the door, and as I requested, we were seated in a quiet room with the wonderful ambiance for which the Homestead at the Eldred Preserve is noted. The service was professional as the wait staff were patient and encouraging, as these shy teens tried to ascertain exactly what these strange foods were on the menu. (They are only used to pizza and Mexican cuisine!!) Altogether it was every thing I could have hoped for and was the topic of lively discussion on our way home!

Outstanding Experience – Twice in a Row! Alexi made it very special.

We had such a wonderful experience at this restaurant not just once, but two nights in a row! From the moment we arrived until the last minute we walked out, the service and reception were absolutely exceptional.

A special mention goes to Alexi, our waiter both evenings. She was young, fun, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and the house specialties. Her energy and professionalism made the dining experience even more enjoyable. You can tell she truly loves what she does attentive without being intrusive, friendly, and very well-trained.

The entire team made us feel welcomed and cared for from start to finish. Everything about these two visits reflected quality, hospitality, and great attention to detail.

Great staff, great cozy calm atmosphere that you will absolutely not find anywhere within 30 miles, and food that is mostly, if not always, excellent. Service can also be a little spotty but not for lack of good people. Really a great place if you can afford the prices, and if you can't, you can probably still afford a beer and something off of the bar menu. A favorite.

Dine overlooking beautiful grounds on a fall day with friends doesn't get any better. The setting and service was outstanding.
