Recommend the fried soft shelled crab with papaya salad! The pairing complemented each other really well!

I had a really disappointing experience at this Thai restaurant, and I feel compelled to share it. My wife and I arrived five minutes before opening, and the staff kindly let us in early, which we appreciated. They told us to pick any table, so we chose one in a quieter, low-traffic area. However, we were quickly told we couldn’t sit there because the table we chose is for 3 people, despite the initial instruction to sit anywhere. Okay, no big deal, we moved to another table. Then, a group of five arrived after us, and we were asked to move to accommodate them. We stayed patient and relocated without complaint. But things got worse from there. While waiting to order, another customer who arrived well after us demanded their order be taken first. Shockingly, the host complied, bypassing us entirely, even though we’d made it clear we were ready to order. After that, the hostess took yet another table’s order before getting back to us, which felt unfair and disrespectful. When I politely pointed out that we were the first to arrive and still hadn’t been served, the waitress insisted she’d take our order next. The whole experience felt chaotic and unwelcoming, and the hostess’s attitude came across as dismissive. It felt like we were being brushed aside, and that’s not how you treat customers. In the end, we decided to leave without eating because we didn’t feel valued or respected. I was really looking forward to trying the food, but the poor service and what felt like discriminatory treatment left a bad taste. I hope the restaurant management takes this feedback seriously and improves their customer service, because no one should feel ignored or sidelined when they’re just trying to enjoy a meal specially they were not even busy to begin with because they just opened when we arrived.

Very good authentic Thai food. Reasonable price and great service. Space is a bit small so probably best to get reservation ahead.

Real authentic Lao/thai food! Highly recommend
This is one of those meals you feel in your whole body. Definitely one of the best Thai restaurants in all of NYC. We ordered the soft shell crab papaya salad, shrimp pad Thai and pork sausage Laarb. Incredible flavors in all of them and very fresh ingredients. Be warned, medium spice has quite a kick. There are so many other things on the menu to try, we’ll definitely be back.

I looooooove this place! It’s legit. Tastes like home. Been coming here for years. Whenever I want Northeastern Thai food, I come here. I’ve had friends commute from Brooklyn for this. It’s regional, so don’t just order basic pad thai or curry that you can get anywhere else. Try the other stuff.
Perfect to feast with family and friends. The space is small, so if you’re bringing a big group, just call ahead of time! The combo set’s a good intro if it’s your first time.
Personal favorites: Grilled whole fish, Gang Om, Mok Nhor Mai, Somtum Plara, Naam Tok
Medium “5” spice still has kick. 🌶️

Nice space with good food. We got the steak which was good but could have been rendered more by having less sauce. I highly recommend the fish because it is moist and has been cured well, with two sauces that work independently (do not mix them!) to enhance the fish's flesh.
The duck larb was also quite good, mainly with really fragrant herbs like the basil or the mint.
Overall, a good place, I'll keep this for when I'm in Elmhurst.

Very authentic Thai food here! I get quite picky with my food but this place definitely has so many good dishes. Ugh and I try every Thai tea and this is one of the good ones, must get when you’re there!
It’s a small spot so there may be a small wait if it’s busy but for the most part, they try their best to accommodate and make a few moves for people to sit.
Great friendly service as well!! 🥰
