Pata Paean is well known for having the most delicious boat noodle in NYC!!! Let's me tell you all, it is deserved its reputation. The tastes is very original, The moment that I sipped the broth from Numtok noodles (boat noodles), I felt like it already took me to Thailand. Not only that Tomyum noodle soup also other favorite one. I can't have enough those noodles. Also the service is in timely manner. All worker there are very friendly and attentive. I always love the music that they played as a background. Also the decoration represent the noodle shop in Thailand.10 out 10!!!!Recommend to all who love Thai's food and noodle. Also I recommend order the small bowl of boat noodles to experience more authentic version of boat noodles because in Thailand bowl noodles usually served in small bowl. Don't worry you can order more and more of course. I always order like 3 bowl. Very delicious, and wonderful dining experience.

In summer time, we had a great time here. But there's a new staff with a terrible service. The best decision was to find another restaurant.

I wish I came here sooner because I've been missing out! I ordered for take out, but I would definitely come back to dine in when I want to enjoy a fun social gathering. Situated on the cusp of Elmhurst and Woodside, the establishment is surrounded by a plethora of Thai businesses, but the restaurant is hard to miss with its brights lights emanating. The interior itself resembles a bit of a dive bar, but the cozy atmosphere and friendly staff is very inviting to all! I ordered the Nam Tok and dry Tom Yum noodle soups. Immediately regretted not ordering the creamy tom yum because it looked so good, but even more the reasons to return. For every broth options, you also have ~5 different noodle options to choose from. NAM TOK: Personally I really enjoyed the Nam Tok with the rice noodles. The noodles absorbed the flavors of the rich broth really well. The broth is a pork blood based noodle seasoned with chili and fish sauce; it was rich and nourishing with a bit of a heat, but not too overwhelming. It came with a decent amount of pork slices, pork liver/blood, pork rinds and fish balls. Probs a must order for me! DRY TOM YUM: I opted for egg noodles for this. The dish consisted roast pork slices, pork blood, fish balls, seasoned ground pork and fried pork rinds. It came with the tangy broth on the side. Honestly reminded me a lot of vietnamese hu tieu mi kho. The noodles were bouncy and combined with the broth made it a very comforting meal! I do wish the portions were bigger esp for ~$15 a bowl. I inhaled my meal almost in an instant!

A small and casual place. I liked the ambiance esp in the enclosed outdoor area, which is heated. Even the restroom is interesting. Very nice staff. Tried the Nam Tok soup. Had similar at another restaurant. Pork liver was sliced thin and was tender, not strong flavor. Could use more pork rinds :) Rice noodle was recommended but I liked with egg noodles better. The $6 bowl is a really mini portion of it with noodles and few pieces of each of the meats. Will not be enough as a meal though. Also, wished I remembered for less spiciness so I can enjoy the broth more, was a bit spicy for me. Other soups to try for next time. I did like the mango sticky rice- with mango sorbet, whipped cream and almonds.

My boyfriend and I usually get Nam Tok Noodle Soup and Tom Yum Noodle soup from here. We love the flavor very much because it's so so authentic. We live in Manhattan but tend to come here every week for their noodle soups.

Best Nam Tok soup I've had outside of Thailand. Definitely the best out of several places I've tried in NYC. Super cute hole in the wall.

Tastes really good. But giving it a 2 stars because of the portion or the price. One noodle soup was $19.XX, this costs more than Japanese ramen. And the portion is TINY! Yes Tiny!!

Feel like being back in Thailand! I have eaten here too many times not to leave a review. Growing up in Bangkok , this place brings back good childhood memories. Noodle with clear broth is my all time favorite. The taste is authentic, the ingredients are fresh. I especially love the crispy pork rind toppings. The portion is not too big , just like the portion you would generally find in Thailand. I always have room to order dessert or sweet drink after. Wish there is a location in Manhattan, then I would be there every weekend :)

I’m writing this upon my sons strong demand that I leave a review. The food portions are very small. The meat comes in the form of a sliced up rubbery meatball that you get in the frozen section of the Chinese market. Disappointing given that there are many really great options on this block.
