I’m surprised to see bad reviews for this place. I used to eat at the Essex location often around 2018 and stumbled upon their Queens location the other day and it was just as good as I remembered. On top of that, the staff was super nice, polite and welcoming. I’ll definitely stop by whenever I’m in the area again.

I programmed a Uber eats order for 11 cachitos a day in advance to surprise some coworkers. I understand that is complicated and if they have canceled, that wouldn’t be a problem, that’s why I put it a day before. In return, I received only 1 cachito! Honestly, just cancel it if you cannot make it. Don’t just send 10% of the order.

The paisa fried arepa was really great. A lot better than the Arepa Lady in Jackson Heights. Steak was a little overcooked but otherwise very enjoyable.
Personally, I wasn't a fan of the texture/flavor of the plantains in the patacon. It tasted quite potato-ey and was a bit dry. Also, not a fan of the cubano filling. I would probably avoid those and go for one of the arepas.
Additionally, the prices on the menu are not up-to-date, which is quite annoying.
The place was clean and the music atmosphere gave it a plus.

Food was delicious but a little pricey. It was worth it for me because I was craving exactly that but a little sale here and there wouldn't hurt. Maybe add a small drink.

Upon ordering a chicken potato salad (Venezuelan Christmas salad) over the phone, I was informed that they offered small, medium, and large sizes. I opted for a medium size, as the manager suggested it would be sufficient for two people. However, I was charged $40 for the salad and she also asked to provide a tip of 15%, 20%, or 25%.
Upon receiving the salad, I was shocked to find that it was significantly smaller than expected. The price seemed excessive for the portion size, leading to a profound sense of disappointment.

I didn't like the empanadas, they say that the empanadas are Venezuelan and I didn't feel they were Venezuelan, the filling said they were cheese and it came with potatoes. I don't recommend them at all.

DO NOT ORDER IN THIS PLACE! I ordered a Venezuelan breakfast through Uber eats which is supposed to have eggs, black beans, cheese, arepas and beef and I was missing the beef, arepas and black beans!?? This is ridiculous! They don’t pick up the phone when u call them either. I’m really disappointed.

DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT EATING HERE. I ate in the restaurant with my mother. We ordered two soups with a side of rice, salad and maduro. The food was served in paper plates… she forgot the maduro. the waitress had trouble finding spoons. And gave us plastic spoons. and no forks… I also ordered a “natural” juice. It was more like powdered Fanta. We spent $36 on absolute garbage. I am extremely disappointed. I should of just went to Pollos Mario. Paid a little more and ate well.

They should not be sending out food through Uber eats or other delivering companies if the food is not going to be sent how you have described. They do not follow instructions whatsoever even if you write the instructions in English and SPANISH. It’s very frustrating annoying that you order food to be delivered for it to have missing items that you paid for. “Cachapa y más” y better than this place honestly. This service is mediocre. No longer going to buy from here such a disappointment.

terrible place... They say they are Venezuelan breakfasts but they are maracucho breakfasts... that is not Venezuelan... I asked for some pastries and they gave me 2 stones... the worst pastries I have ever seen... I left them there... and I pass expensive... there's a reason the place is always alone
