I regularly visit this Popeyes because it’s on my daily commute. I went to order a spicy chicken sandwich, as I went to pay the employee she said the money was “dirty” and did not want to accept it. I believe this was the manager, so I walked out; walked across the street and bought Chick-fil-A with the same money where it was taken without issue. I will not return to this Popeyes.

I had one of the most humiliating experiences I’ve ever had at any establishment. Today (Sunday, Nov 2, 2025 around 1:20 PM) at the Popeyes located at 4010 82nd Street, Jackson Heights location. I came to pick up an Uber Eats order and waited over 10 minutes at the mobile pick-up area with no assistance from staff. Because I have lower back issues, I brought a nearby chair to sit while waiting, without blocking anyone or causing a disturbance. An employee named Sulhanna or Sultana (I could not see since she removed her name tag) suddenly came up and rudely yelled at me in front of customers, demanding I move the chair back, talking over me when I tried to explain about my back pain. Even after I complied and placed the chair back near the table, she continued yelling, pointing, and berating me publicly (because I did not have the chair facing the table, the way she wanted. I was sitting facing the counter so I can see when the order would be ready). When I asked for her name to file a complaint, she removed her name tag and said she’d call the police on me.
I ended up canceling the order because I refused to be treated that way. This behavior was extremely unprofessional and discriminatory, especially toward someone with a medical condition. I will be contacting Popeyes Corporate to report this incident and ask that they retrain staff on ADA awareness and basic customer respect.
I will be contacting the NYC Commission on Human Rights (CCHR) and the NYC Department of Consumer and Worker Protection (DCWP) about this incident as well.

Terrible service from a lady. I asked for sauce and she threw it on the table. When I spoke to her, she didn't answer my questions, such as what the twins were. I mainly said I wanted 12 and when I wanted to change it to 8, she told me she couldn't. They should train their staff more, they are rude.

There is a manager named Sultana. She is very unprofessional — I don’t know who made her a manager. She doesn’t have the manners to talk and even hangs up the phone without providing a solution. Hopefully, the management will look into this issue.

Food is old and cold. Really regret coming here. The service is even worse, the ladies at front looking at crazy because I asked to use the restroom to be told “is out of service”. Based on the other reviews it seems like that’s what they like to say. Very negative attitude from manager and co workers gossiping about you because u give them the same vibe they gave you! Don’t waste your money here! First and last time here.
