Tangra Masala is well-known for its vibrant Indo-Chinese cuisine, offering a warm, casual, and relaxed dining atmosphere. The service is consistently friendly and attentive, with staff who are always eager to share suggestions and help you choose the perfect dishes.

Their menu features a great variety of flavorful options such as Vegetable Manchurian, Gobi Salt Pepper, Paneer Tangra Masala, Gobi Chili, Veg Spring Roll, Paneer Chili, Vegetable Hakka Noodles, and Tangra Masala Noodles. Each dish highlights the bold, aromatic flavors that make Indo-Chinese cooking so popular.

The best Indo-Chinese food I have had in the US, hands down. The taste is so similar to what I used to eat in India.

Most definitely the worst restaurants I’ve ever been to. Stale food, salty, and just no flavor. Would absolutely avoid. They accept cash only without an ATM .

Ordered out with UberEats for 6pcs of Chicken Lilipop and 1 box of Tangra Masala Shrimp fried rice. I only received 4 pcs of the lilipops. So they’ll charge you for more but only give you partial amount of the food.. UberEats couldn’t partially refund and said to leave a review so here I am…. Shady establishment… 😒

Best place to eat indo-Chinese food. So close to the taste you find in India. Veg manchurian is absolutely delicious.

Tangra Masala truly has the most authentic Indian Chinese in Queens. The flavors are spot on, and what makes them stand out is their consistency — the taste has been the same delicious quality for so many years. It’s always a reliable go-to spot when you’re craving real Indian Chinese cuisine.

Unfortunately, I had a very disappointing experience at Tangra Masala and won’t be returning. From the beginning, things went wrong — my daughter was served water with a straw that had a cockroach inside it. I immediately informed the manager, but instead of offering a genuine apology or taking full accountability, she placed the blame on their supplier. Regardless of where the straw came from, something like that should never make it to a customer’s table, especially when children are involved.

The overall atmosphere also felt off. The staff appeared visibly unhappy and disengaged, which created a tense and uncomfortable dining environment. It was clear that they weren’t having a good experience either, which sadly showed in the service.

To make matters worse, the food quality has really declined. Dishes that used to be full of flavor now tasted bland and carelessly prepared. It was far from the standard I remembered.

What added to the disappointment was seeing a 15% service charge automatically added to the bill — despite the poor experience and lack of basic hospitality. It felt undeserved, especially given everything we encountered during our visit.

I used to enjoy this place, but this experience was truly disheartening. I hope the management takes this kind of feedback seriously and works on improving both hygiene and overall service.

Came in on a weekday afternoon. Tried ordering something from menu, but was told that it wasn’t available and to choose something else. Ordered my food, and it came out suspiciously fast… under five minutes and two entrees were ordered.
Food lacked flavor and chicken was a bit tough. Halfway through eating my meal, I look up at the ceiling above my table to see some mold. I wasn’t too thrilled about this. Considering the temperature of the restaurant had me sweating within a minute of sitting in there, I can imagine how the heat and humidity is making this mold thrive.
Service wasn’t great, but they automatically add their 15% charge to the bill.
Probably won’t be returning here.

Outstanding. Great combination of dishes. Indian and Chinese fusion very brillianlty created by India born Chinese descent founders (from Kolkata in West Bengal) well over two decades ago is still the same BIG HIT today as it was in early days. No one else has come even close to it. I say, Bravo!

A hidden gem if you are craving good indo-chinese food. Salt and Pepper Paneer and Manchow soup is my go to order.

They put a charge as a tip forced, not saying I wasn't gonna tip but forcing it in a way is something I don't like. I had chilli chicken and the food had barely any flavor. The food didint really feel fresh and the waiter was nice throughout the time and the restraunt is small but when it isint busy then it's perfectly fine. Probably wouldn't come back again.
