I once got carry out from this place on my way home back to DC. Everything I ORDERED was absolutely the worst tasting Indonesian food. I remember the cook looking out of the kitchen to see who was ordering. All the food looked like leftovers. No color in food, except brown to light brown. A WASTED $50. i WOULD NEVER COME HERE AGAIN. I have lived in Indonesia and that order doesn't make it. Makanan yang tidak enak!
Indonesian food, mmm, super delicious. It was so delicious. The staff was very helpful and welcoming. The place has a good atmosphere.
indonesian food and the scene at this location is super good. Looking forward to coming back with my coworkers. Bring your hunger - portions are generous.
A fav location for tasty indonesian food. Filled me up. I look forward to a return visit. It has a good atmosphere.
Indonesian food and service at this place is excellent. Went there on a Friday I think. Definitely worth going back to. It has a nice atmosphere. They have so many reviews for a reason.
One of my preferred spots for quality Indonesian food. Service is excellent even when they are busy. It has an awesome atmosphere. Makes me feel like I in Nashville again.
Great place for delicious Indonesian food. do yourself a favor and try this place. the service was very kind and attentive. it has a good feel to it.
My top spot for delicious Indonesian food. I love this place, excellent food & service. The service was very welcoming and sociable. The bill was average for the menu.
I've been to other Indonesian restaurants in New York but Upi Jaya definitely serves the most authentic Indonesian food of all. Beef Rendang and Satay are my favorite. If you're a vegetarian their Gado Gado is the best. So if you happen to be in New York and looking for true Indonesian delicacies at reasonable price, don't miss this place. Highly recommended.
I was surprise the portion of my orderThey charge more than the regular price, the gado2 coming with small container and they increase the price also the avocado before coming with medium cup , now they put on the small cup the price increase too. Is not fair we pay more and you guys sale with the small portion.

Indonesian food, yeah, so delicious. Nothing to complain about. The bill won't break you.
Upi Jaya is Upi Jaya, the champion, the best. Since I am living outside Indonesia too, stopping by at Upi Jaya is really satisfied me. The food is superbly tasty! 1000% authentic! Should stop by!
Went into the restaurant and was promptly seated and order was taken immediately. They have vegetarian dishes on the menu and the prices are quite reasonable (<$10)because they have a special price selection menu from 12-4:30. Food was brought to the table quickly and smelled good. First two bites of the food were very strange as it’s very different from everything I’ve ever eaten. But soon after my taste buds adjusted to the novelty taste. Cleaned the plate before the bill came. Overall, great and interesting experience.
Small place with excellent food and service. Highly recommend the rendang.
