Fresh Chong fun is back.
I saw somebody mentionned this on IG and decided to give it a try.
My first time visiting, the place was crowded. There was a line. I ordered rice roll with egg. They are somewhat chewy. Better than other street vendors, can't compare to with dim sum restaurant.
Small size of soy milk was good. Not too sweet. Tofu ho is not too sweet.
Overall the flavor is on the blended size but the food itself is good.
The rice rolls are really good with the sauces. I also got the tofu dessert and it’s amazing. Not too close to my home, but deserves the walk.
The steamed rice rolls at Wong Kwong Hop are BACK starting this weekend 9/28/24! (They had a labor shortage these past few years). This is where you get the best steamed rice rolls in Elmhurst, Queens. These fresh cheung fun are currently available only on the weekends. They’re steamy, pillowy, and piping hot - all starting at just $3. Definitely recommend adding an egg in for an extra 50 cents. For the sauces, we get them all - hot sauce, soy sauce, oyster sauce, and peanut sauce. Come earlier in the day, before 2/3pm, I’d say, before they run out for the day. Don’t forget to bring cash to pay!
While you’re here, this spot also makes fresh soy milk and tofu in-house daily. Love their springy, cold, and refreshing grass jelly as well. This is a true tofu factory where you can just walk in and get fresh tofu, directly from the source. They distribute tofu to many businesses throughout Elmhurst, Flushing, and Chinatown.
Pricing as of Sept 2024:
$2 tofu pudding/bean curd dessert
$2.75 grass jelly
$1.75 soy milk
$3 beef rice rolls
$3 pork rice rolls
+ $0.50 egg
their soy bean milk is delicious, slightly sweet and not watered down at all! Tofu is great too. I hope they stay around for a long time.
This is the only place in queens where I can find freshly made, delicious rice rolls, soy milk, and other herbal drinks. They're friendly, and cash-only.
Love their soy milk. Still very reasonable price and quantity despite the recent price increases.
True tofu factory serving the freshest tofu. But it's a factory, so don't expect tidy aisles or nice decor. Also, minimal English here. Be patient if they pass you over for the next customer until they can get an English speaker to help you.
Tofu becomes more and more small.

The freshness is good. As soon as the surface of the soy milk is heated, a layer of bean curd skin forms. It should be made from genetically modified soybeans used for oil extraction, so it’s so easy to get rotten skin. Tastes pretty good
Very fresh products!
