In this diner has been a staple in the community for years, but it's exactly what you get at a diner. Decent food with decent service and a normal diner atmosphere.However, they still have some of the best fries and onion rings in the area.

Today, chicken & waffles looked & tasted like last week chicken that was frozen to be used later, like today. It was disgusting. I am so mad that it was not known until we returned home.

So I'm going to assume we were profiled the other evening when we arrived at midnight looking for a nice place to eat after driving up from Florida. We walked in and the place was full of patrons eating, we wanted to sit down after driving for 20 hours and have something to eat. I've lived in Elmont for over 40 years and moved to Florida and have been a customer of this restaurant for many years. So I wanted to eat there as it has always been a favorite place in the past. We drove up for a death in the family and went straight to Stop 20. We parked and walked in, a couple before us walked in and we seen them get seated but when the greeter at the desk seen us and said we are closed. Was it because one of had tattoos and long hair and me with sweatpants and a sweatshirt looking disheveled and bot up to their standards ? The next morning we decided NOT to visit this diner and went some place else. I think we were profiled because of our appearance and will never visit this establishment ever again. I don't usually do reviews but this time I feel it's warranted. I have mentioned this to many friends who still reside in the Elmont area and they were suprised. So I wouldn't recommend anyone to visit this establishment unless your dressed to the 9's. Keep your restaurant because you're not the only diner around.

Went here for cristmas and went again was good I would recommend you try it out at least and they have some very good free candy and cookies for when you pay an leave nice to offer ur customers something

Definitely not recommend.Went there with my friend today. We ordered our meals that came with Cole slaw and pickles. The pickles are not pickles. They are water- soaked cucumbers. Asked the waiter about it, and he said they switched to this because it's cheaper. He knows it doesn't taste like pickles.Later on, he asked if we are OK, and when we said yes, he wanted to give us the check. I told him we are not done. I was still eating and wanted to order a shake ( which came without whipped cream).Time passes, I was done eating. Apparently, our waiter left because we have been looking for him, but he was nowhere to be found. So I asked another employee for a shake. He asked to stay or to go. I told him to stay. He brings it, no whipped cream again. We keep talking, then my friend gets hungry again and wants to order. We get Another guy to take our order who asks to stay or to go. Told him to stay. I'll let you know when we are going. He said because we've been here and keep ordering. Anyway, someone brings food, my friends eats then another guy asks if we are OK and we said we are, leaves Bill on table. I wish I would've taken a picture of it, but it was just numbers. No name for the meals/ drinks. The prices listed on bill are not prices listed on the menu, so when I went to pay, I asked the guy what was what. He didn't know, so he asked one of the guys who served us. He, with an attitude, said that we just kept ordering, sitting there too long, they just wrote the numbers on the paper.They find the original receipt, which has white outs ( guess for all the times they thought we are done). But Who the heck says that?We stayed too long and kept ordering? Be happy we sat, ordered and spent money!Also gotta mention that there were PLENTY of Empty Tables!We spent over $80 eating and drinking. At a Diner!!!!!I could've got a 3 meal course for 2 at Chili's for half the price that actuslly tastes good!Lesson learned...Not enough that they kept asking as to stay or to go, he told me we sat there too long and kept ordering, the food is not even good. Watered cucumbers, dry Cajun wrap ( which is literally just bacon, chicken, cheese, in a wrap. No dressing whatsoever) Best part was the shake..Not again.

Excellent service however to the owners please put a lock on the ladies bathroom as it is only meant for one lady to use at a time. The bathroom stall has a big opening where if anyone enters into the bathroom you are exposed. Your every private part and what you are wiping is exposed. Unacceptable. Do something about this. The woman who work there why haven’t you complained! I see you use it also?
