We tried Wayback for the first time the other day and definitely enjoyed it. The menu had so many options and everything looked really delicious! It made it so hard to pick what we wanted . Everything we order was great and full of flavor we will definitely come back again!

As we come from Delaware and ate at the original Jake's before the rebrand to Way Back, we saw this locarion as we were passing through NY and stopped. What a disappointment. Since we didn't order ahead our wait was about 20 minutes which was understandable. But when the food came the burgers were good but nothing to write home about. However the french fries were cold and not crispy . They needed a few more minutes in the fryer. The centers were barely cooked. For the first time in recent memory we left most of the fries on the plate. Bad day?

Came here for some burgers, fries, and shakes for 3, spent over $50 which for a place set up like a subway (you go up, order, sit down, and wait for your name) seems ridiculous. The whole transaction was strange, was upsold on fries for “combo” when there’s not some deal in it, not to mention the sign above says $4.89 for a regular fry, but my receipt says $5.89 for a regular fry. Then, the cashier switches it to the tip screen and leans forward to see what I select, what is the point of tipping at a place like this, do your workers not get paid? They call us for the food and I bite into these $6 fries and they’re pre frozen. Huh? $6 for frozen fries?? So, not only is the price a dollar extra, now I’m meant buy into this “always fresh” slogan with frozen fries? $50+ for frozen food, weird cashiers, mid burgers, and for what? I’ll stick to 5 guys, similar setup with the a la carte, and jacked up pricing, but at least the foods actually fresh, and good.

I wanted to try this place for a while. Staff was excellent and food was hot when brought to us. My only issue was I felt the meat needed more seasoning/salt, which is something I don't say often as I don't use a lot of salt. My burger was huge and they gave use a ton of fries. Good stuff.
