The quality of the food is subpar, and the portion sizes are notably insufficient. I would advise against spending your money at this establishment. Furthermore, it appears that the employees are inadequately compensated for their efforts.Johnny is an unprofessional employer. My husband was previously employed by him, and I witnessed firsthand the manner in which he treats his employees. On one occasion, he traveled to Jamaica and failed to disburse salaries on the designated pay date, showing a complete disregard for those affected. I would not consume the food from this establishment, even if it were offered free of charge. Additionally, I have reported this business to the Better Business Bureau.

Recently just parted ways with this establishment.. i was offered a position here (i wish i could tell you the position and what specifically i was doing), to which i took, since i needed a way to provide for my family. being there was stressful from the work environment/ethic of other people, this came in the way of me doing my to my fullest potential job, and the ethic of others infront of the boss made me look like a bad worker. the walls are constantly dirty. the kitchen is always a mess. cooked food is constantly cross contaminated with raw food, when i was working there, i had to clean raw chicken over a sink filled with cleaning products , to which i was never provided and apron or gloves. since i was the new guy i was already expecting to do alot coming in to prove myself. but with coworkers purposely working slow so that your given no choice but to stop your (duties ) ones that werent even established when you were hired, to help them ,its kind of hard to have a sense of direction and to have everything done by the times it is to go home ( i was not getting paid for staying longer. )
im making this review because i wasnt put on the schedule this week ..i have been asking for a schedule since i was hired , why? i would get called an hour or two before my shift to be told to come in, i tried explained to johnny’s that it is hard , to show up with a two hour notice when i have a son to take care of …. (i never showed up any more than 5 - 10 min late…) tried calling Johnny this morning after he told me he would call me.. im assuming he is firing me, i haven't been on the schedule this whole week without explanation ….and have been calling every day this week asking for an update to which he would never really give me and answer.. i have never disrespected this man nor his establishment. but ever since being hired hes been treating me as someone beneath him.. i was told i was entitled to an employee meal but after day 3 he told me i couldn’t take anymore food for the line is left out in the back for the whole day. you guys may not see the back but i do and i promise you, you do not want to eat there with the way they treat your food, and how he treats his employees is simply how hes going to treat his business and i apologize for this but the disrespect is too much. i was never fired or given and only given one update on my performance to which i was told i was going good. im sorry but they way they treat your food in the back, they leave it out all day in the kitchen and is cross contaminated. feels wrong keep this information to myself.

Never again will I support this restaurant.I placed a catering order of BBQ chicken and the entire tray was filled with back pieces.Such a waste of money.
I was at the restaurant service poor chafe me $18. FOR A Medium size ox tail, 3 small pieces of plantain and sometimes like stem cabbages. On line have different prices. That's how you all intend to get rich. You all would never enjoy the benefit from overcharging customers.?

Honestly i used to love coming here. But now the servers make you not want to spend your money. Those women in there with stink attitudes for no reason. But what was the cherry on top was me asking for my food to be packaged in a paper and plastic bag and this NEW person telling me they charge for paper bags..paper bags are only for ubereat. Im a frequent customer i never got told this. Its okay tho, food has gotten bad over the years. Im done spending my money here and with ppl that have nasty attitudes.
Extremely unprofessional I will never in life order from here .

I decided to patronize a FEMALE BLACK OWNED BUSINESS. NEVER AGAIN. While I'm on line people are talking about how poor the customer service is from the 2 females serving the food. For $22.00 I got less than a 1/5 of oxtails in my dish. The rest was just flooded with rice, no beans. The light-skinned female has a severe attitude problem. While walking home, I came across "La Playa" Dominican restaurant. The SAME dish is $18 dollars and they provided much more oxtail with less negativity. I know where I'm getting my oxtails NEXT TIME!!!!! Do Not Patronize!!!
