A place in Rockaway to eat something delicious, in a pleasant atmosphere with a view of the beach and Jamaica Bay and in the background Manhattan! Delicious food, attention and pleasant atmosphere.

Tried to visit the Rockaway rooftop last Saturday 8/31 for food and drinks. The host was very unprofessional and did not try to accommodate us. She told me there were “No seats available” but on the online system it showed availability for that time. I asked her if I booked online would she be able to seat us. Her response was “it shows there are tables available on the system, but there aren’t actually any”. After I insisted, she told me I could order from the bar and take my food to the other side with the ocean view. (This area has no waitress service you just order food and have this area to sit.) I asked her if maybe later on tables will open she told me no. Another host that was working came over and said she could seat us in an empty table, the first host said “no because if it rains the dj will have to be moved inside and occupy that space”. A larger party came in right after me and she told them they could wait in the same area she was telling me to wait and when something opened up she would call them. Not sure why she couldn’t offer us the same thing. The host was very unprofessional and lacking customer service skills and was not trying to accommodate us AT ALL. Not sure what was her issue. I visit Margie’s on the lower level often and never have encountered this issue with any of the employees. If the online booking system is showing incorrect information maybe they should use another system and hire hosts that actually want to help EVERYONE that visits. As a Rockaway local I will not be visiting again.

We went to Tap That instead where the atmosphere was better and the hosts and waitress actually seem like they want to help their guests.

Honestly this is just a nice place to see the sunset. I mean if you don't mind the 30 people standing over top you to take a picture of the same sunset your trying to watch. Food? I wouldn't know we reserved a table but I guess that didn't come with service because no one ever came over we ended up just getting up and going to the bar for drinks...(vodka cram)which were basically just cranberry juice and a lime. Not really sure what this place is trying to be but it's definitely not a restaurant. The music was catchy nothing to write home about just chill techno disco stuff. Honestly I could skip the next visit and just watch the sunset by the boardwalk with a slice of pizza and my own radio.

Always love the atmosphere at this hotel. Went on Sunday during the sunset and they had really good DJ’s rotating. Cocktails were beautiful and delicious.
Unfortunately was very disappointed with the food. The rooftop has more small bites than dinner meals which was fine but the chicken tacos was overly powered by cumin taste, and the ceviche lacked a whole lot of lime.

For the prices I expect better quality food
$19 for 2 tiny tacos….

I went to this establishment over Memorial Day weekend and it was an amazing experience. Everything from the ambiance to the food to even the staff was excellent. Everyone was so warm and friendly, I'd highly recommend this place for anyone looking to have a wonderful time and want delicious food. Trust me you won't be disappointed.

I only got to stay in the hotel for 3 nights but I love it. The staff are very friendly. I would definitely stay here again. The hotel is very beautiful, clean. In my opinion one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in.

I came here for day drinking. On the outdoor roof top. The atmosphere is great. The staff was very friendly and professional. The cocktails and food were very good! Not to mention the veil is spectacular!!!
