This restaurant is fabulous! I am wheelchair dependent and I have celiac, which makes it difficult to eat out. But it was not difficult at 317! I was able to easily navigate in this restaurant (everyone was so helpful!), and they are intentional about making gluten-free fare with no cross-contamination, so I enjoyed my meal without fear. The food both looked and tasted delicious, and the portions were quite ample. Chef Eric is very gifted! And he was very friendly and caring, taking time to talk with our family. Truly, I have no complaints. Kudos to all who make this a great place for all! (We drove 40 miles out of our way to visit this restaurant when we were in NYC, because my son really wanted to go there, and it was totally worth the drive and the time!)

The place is bright and airy and our server Jesse was superb. Attentive and engaging! For is good. Portions are really large , many of them should be split. We unfortunately sat right under a fans so it was a bit chilly.

FYI for your home alone movie theme dine in experience just some advice if you saw the movie Kevin’s favorites are a cheese pizza and sundaes featured in part 1 & 2. The rest you made up other than the Mac n cheese he never got to eat.

I love this place.. I traveled from the city to meet friends for dinner here.. The seating is not cramped.. The acoustics are not loud.. The menu has many choices and was delicious.. the food presentation was super creative and yummy .. The waitress (Janice) was amazing, I’d ask to be seated at her table.. She was very patient, even though we kept her busy.. I can’t wait to go back!! It was totally worth the trip from NYC (short walk from the train station)

Creative food and cocktail menu and an extremely attentive staff. Appreciated the chef's visit to the table to hear his thoughts on playing with different pork Chop recipes, crafting the home style Ragout and adding seasonal dishes like butternut squash ravioli. Highly recommend 317 for foodies or friends looking for a fun place for dinner

Such a unique experience at 317 main street! The buffalo chicken dip is amazing and it was such a nice touch meeting the chef. 10/10 highly recommend!

I attended a book club event at the James room last night which is a small private room off of 317 main. We’ve been there a few times and also attend Bookclub at a different restaurant in Farmingdale monthly, never was it as much of a hot mess as it was last night. We had one waiter and one busser for a group of about 40 people. They have to go outside on the sidewalk to bring food from the restaurant. This team did not keep track of who ordered what and kept bringing food to the wrong tables. They were literally standing in the middle of the room calling out “did someone order fries?” They also brought so many messed up orders out. Extra drinks that no one ordered, extra fries. These were all probably duplicated in error and therefore they got discarded. So much wasted food. My dish was gross. I ordered chicken paillard and the chicken was very thick and had grizzley pieces in it that were difficult to chew. Finally the checks came, they were all wrong. He put 3 drinks and a burger on my tab which I definitely didn’t order, he had to write everyone’s check down again and re-print the checks for all of the people there which was about 40 people. It took 45 minutes to settle the tab and he rounded my change down, giving me back 5 dollars when it should have been $5.75. Additionally a 20% gratuity was added to our checks and they charge tax on gratuity. I don’t think I will be back to this restaurant. Food was mediocre at best and the service was terrible. There were so many issues that come down to restaurant management. Our room was under staffed and the server seemed experience - talk about throwing your staff to the dogs!

What's not to like or criticize. The staff is professional, friendly, and attentive. On this recent occasion, our server Janice T was great.
The ambience, design, and style is nice and casual where everyone is welcomed and comfortable- no intimidation here!
The food is top quality, not cheap but competitively priced. There is something for everyone whatever your eating diet is.
How many other restaurants have the chef (Eric LeVine) come around check on you and make sure you're having a good time and enjoying the food. I've lost count but I'm sure the last 4 visits he has always stop by to chat.
There are many better than average restaurants in Farmingdale and surrounding communities. For us there is just something that sets 317 Main above all the others. Maybe it's chef Eric and his dedication, his craft, his life as an example for all of us. Maybe it's the food and service. All I know is we feel satisfied and so much better when we leave 317 Main. Hopefully you'll have a similar experience.

The waiter was horrible! Put my order in wrong 3 times. Every time I told him it was still wrong he looked like he had no idea what I was talking about. He disappeared once all the food was brought and didn't even refill our water until we were ready to leave.

We went to 317 Main Street for Sunday brunch. We have been here before, brought friends who were "newbies" We were seated immediately. The brunch menu is quite extensive with some wonderful choices. I had the avocado toast with smoked salmon and capers. . You cannot believe the amount of luscious smoked salmon you get! The dish was wonderful. Others had the crepe, and an omlette. The table net to us got a box of everything that seemed to include anything you would want for breakfast shared communally. It, too looked both bountiful and wonderful. We finished with a flight of deserts which has small portions from 4 of the many desserts available. This was wonderful too! The place was lively and energetic. Two managers and the chef came over to our table and engaged nicely with us. My friends noticed a private room in the back which I think can hold 50 people. By the time we left they were all ready to book a party there. I plan to go back for dinner and will review the rest of the menu when I do. For brunch, this is a home run!

Amazing food. There is easily something for everyone on the menu so you can't miss. Service was fantastic.
