On Sept 10th, 2020, randomly looking for a place to have dinner, came across this restaurant. Covid procedures are taken. The restaurant was quiet because they were close to closing but the bar was happening. Ordered Bavarian Onion & Ale,(to share) Handmade Soft Pretzel Plowman's Platter and Black Forest Chicken. Everything was delicious.

I love this place and I'm in the area right now wishing I could eat there. I hope they are able to open again someday.

This spot is the one I always prefer. I visit a lot of restaurants but to this one I constantly return again and again. The team is very affectionate and the food they serve is so flavorful. I would always prefer to have a good meal here. Highly recommended.

This being somewhat of a "hike" from where I live, you can always count on Brew Haus being a "go-to" for authentic German comfort food. Having been here several times, you can never get a disappointing meal. Just wished they had Uber Eats or Doordash service delivering out of county. It's definitely a treat to look forward to when going to Long Island. Service is prompt and courteous. One is never rushed to leave! Of course, will be back again!

Very neat and welcoming spot. They provide generous meals and for fair prices. I loved the meals a lot and the staff members were very personal and explanatory. Recommended.

I have been here dozens of times, and was so happy to hear that they have reopened during the pandemic. Although we opted for delivery this time, the meal was out of this world. If you get a chance, definitely visit! This is a hidden gem, off the beaten path in the Farmingdale industrial area. Parking is ample and accessible. Upon entering the restaurant each time in the past, we were always warmly welcomed by the host or hostess immediately. This eatery has a warm, cozy and homey feel. The decorations are updated according to the seasons/time of year, and there are different events held on special days. I remember they had a dueling piano night and additional special days/evenings based on the time of year. Please ask the staff about upcoming events, especially now due to the pandemic. There is an outdoor area as well. The bar was always filled with friendly regulars, and the drinks are spot on. The pinnacle is the huge vats of beer that they have brewing parallel to the dining area. A beautiful and authentic touch to keeping with tradition as well as functionality. On to the food! The spinach artichoke dip is very hearty. They serve it with what seem to be homemade bagel chips. Definitely hits the spot! My favorite is the German potato soup. It is an epic meal in itself. The texture is thick and the flavor is superb. There are huge pieces of potato in this soup. Absolute perfection! Special orders are pleasantly accommodated. I recommend the Brewhaus Chicken Sandwich and the Roasted Turkey. The chicken sandwich is perfectly grilled and served on pretzel bread. How could you go wrong? The Roasted Turkey makes everyday feel like Thanksgiving. A definite plus! There are also definitive German specialties like spaetzle that you cant get anywhere. They even have Captain Crunch Chicken that is super sweet but oh so good. Compliment your meal with a great beer or two, and you'll be all set! I cannot say enough positive comments about the Black Forest Brew Haus. All I can say is enjoy!

I cannot believe that I don't have a review for this place. I've been here a few times over the years. I think it is the only German place in the area. My wife and I had half days, so we decided to swing in for lunch. It was a week day right after they opened, so we didn't have to worry about a crowd. We let the staff settle in and were seated within a few minutes. I had the Brat and Kraut sandwich. It was split on bread with sauerkraut. It came with fries and a pickle. Honestly, it was a good choice. The menu isn't super extensive, so it balances German food with more mainstream meals to make sure everyone can find something. If you are looking for a bar with some German food in the area, you'll end up here. The food is fine, the staff was friendly enough, all was fine.

Food was good but service a little slow

Incredibly underwhelming. We ordered beer and a few appetizers - Loaded Potato Pancakes, Beer Cheese Fondue and Chicken Tenders. The Potato Pancakes had sliced cheese on them which was partially melted (cheese on potato pancakes is bizarre to begin with). The Beer Cheese Fondue was horrible. It was a bright orange and was completely flavorless. The chicken tenders were ok but battered pretty thick (it was almost like a zeppoli batter). I can't imagine what the full "German" meals are like if the appetizers were this terrible. The best part of the whole meal were the pretzels (which are probably microwaved) and the mustard dipping sauce that came with the chicken tenders. Also wasn't too fond of the fact they include gratuity in the total on the receipt and then have a tip line anyway. Not a great business practice, if you ask me. V (We were a party of 5)

Gathered here with family after my fathers funeral. We had people from all over the country and needed outdoor seating for Covid reasons and they were able to meet our needs nicely. We preordered appetizers for each table and for some reason they took a long time getting to us. We arranged to pay for all beverages except hard alcohol but when I ordered a drink was told only tap beers were included in our "package"? Only to see minutes later bottles beer and hard liquor being served?? Hm. Apparently communication isn't their strong suit.We ordered off the menu with no restrictions which was better then trying to guess what would be liked by others. I ordered the Jager schnitzel which was wonderful! My table mates ordered the Plowmans platter, and the Blackforest chicken. We all had clean plates when done, delicious! The waitress was pleasant but could tell overwhelmed with the size of our party of 27. Over all everyone was happy and many will be back to visit again!

The beer is good, the food is just fine.We were the only patrons left at closing time and they did not rush us out which was nice. They don't seem to be offering their own brews right not but they had plenty of other German beers to choose from. The Oktoberfest was great and smooth. For an app we started with the loaded potato pancakes. I had never had potato pancakes with melted cheese before but it worked. For my entrée I had the chicken schnitzel. It was good but not great. The sides could use some more seasoning.Overall an okay place to get together for drinks. They also have outdoor seating right now due to COVID but the inside was packed (even with social distancing in place).
