What a fun concept! This was so a fun and unique experience! Had to solve a riddle to get into the secret entrance inside of an ice cream shop! The drinks and staff were fabulous. We were able to hear live music in this cozy basement speakeasy! True history as well!Kid-friendliness: This is a bar in a small basement space. I would not recommend kids. I'm not sure if they are permitted. Get a sitter and go check it out!

Charlotte's Speakeasy is easily one of the best spots I have been to. Came there with some friends for a celebration and we couldn't have had a better time. Even though they were busy on the holiday weekend, they didn't miss a beat. The staff was fast and pleasant, the band was top notch and the drinks were excellent. They also clearly care deeply for the historic value that Charlotte's provides. Big shout out to the owner, Nick who really came through to make this celebration a great moment. Thank you, can't want to come back!

This little hidden gem was the perfect place for Saturday date night with the beau.Although we did not have reservations, (which I highly recommend) we called a few days earlier and placed our name on the standby list, just in case there was a cancellation.Walking thru Charlottes desserts into this stunning and quaint, not so secret speakeasy was slightly magical.Special thank you to the host, who did everything in his power to find accommodations for our party. The place packs up quickly and tight, if you're a claustrophobic (I would possibly avoid or ask for the last booth near the band on the left).Shoutout to Nick for the history lesson and friendly and inviting experience. As the first person we meet it helps set the tone for the evening.Things to know:- Remember the password- $5 cover charge- Coat check is free- Get there at opening, fills up quickly- No seats at the bar, don't be fooled- Reservations strongly recommended- Get ready to enjoy the atmosphere that's a huge part of the eveningOverall, I'd give this lounge a solid 3.5 STARS

An unparalleled experience for a birthday party. All the guests could not stop commenting how cool of a scene Charlotte's Speakeasy was to sit back, have a crafted cocktail, socialize, and snack on the delicious passed hors d'oeuvres Felico's catered. Working with Joe and Nick to plan the event was a walk in the park. They were accommodating to various requests, offered great suggestions, and truly have a remarkable space. The feel of the roaring 1920's in our present 2020's. Don't pass up Charlotte's Speakeasy for an event or night out, it truly has a, one of a kind essence! Dom

Went here this past Friday... Such a fun vibe being let in with the day's 'secret' password and its downstairs location! Downstairs may appear to note small and tight... Although the high ceilings (10 feet, I'm guessing) and large booths were anything but small. Plenty of room to move about while seated and/or looking to move about the room. The band was a polished, blues-jazz group that was engaging, solid and quality in their sound mix... Just right! The food we had (pizza, apps and such) was on par... Nothing exceptional. Although nothing bad either... Tasty and filling. I had a couple of glasses of the house Malbec which too was just right. All in all, a fun escape of a place to celebrate and vibe out.

Great atmosphere, band was jazzy and blues, but the band should have kept the beat constant, they paused which the mood was not constant, would go back

Don't be fooled by the Ice Cream Parlor when you first walk in! Say the "Password" and you'll make your way via a secret entrance and travel back in time to The Prohibition! You"re in for an amazing experience! And keep an eye for the owner, a super friendly gentleman, who would gladly give you a tour and the history of Charlotte's Speakeasy!

Amazing staff, very nice and lively on a Friday or Saturday night. Pretty cozy spot, but if you reserve a table plan to spend all night long!

Interesting experience. BEWARE - depending on the artist, bring earplugs. This can be a Dangerously Loud experience. This might not be the case with acoustic artists which, would better compliment the setting and period Charlotte does a great job of
