Love High Horse and Dark Horse-first of all-they are very good with security at the doors, guys are tough and nice-then there is Gen-she takes care of private parties and is also an awesome bartender-always available to plan a party! Steve the owner is a great guy, hands on and loved by everyone. Food is excellent, cocktails are amazing! Price is totally on point!

I hosted a surprise 30th birthday party for my girlfriend at Dark Horse and it was well beyond my expectations. The food was delicious and a big serving size. The wait staff was great and the bartender was very efficient despite it being busy in a 30+ person private bar. The price was very reasonable and well worth it. Thank you to the General Manager Gen Hurd who replied very quickly to my texts and was very helpful in planning the event along with any questions I had. Each one of my guests raved about how great the party was and I look forward to returning to Dark Horse. I don't get a chance to host events very often but Dark Horse really delivered for me.

Attended a 30th birthday party last weekend. Had a private room with our own bartender. Alex. He was amazing. Drinks were great and never kept us waiting. Super nice guy. The cocktail food we had was delicious. Genn, the manager, was the best. From the planning to the execution, she was on top of everything. Everyone had a great time. Would definitely be back for future parties.

This place is a gem. Easily one of the best beer selections I’ve seen in Long Island. The food from IKE’s Burgers which is a food truck located in the back lot was insane. To start We order some chicken empanadas. I’m a sucker for corned beef so when I saw a Reuben I had to order it and it was exactly what I was looking for. We also order a chic-Phil-a with buttermilk fried chicken pickles onions and homemade chic filet sauce. Next level!!!! You could see everything is made fresh to order and homemade. The whole old school tavern vibe and the delicious food makes this a hidden gem. If I lived closer I’d be there multiple times a week

DO NOT RECOMMEND. My experience was deeply disappointing because of the unacceptable behavior of the bouncers. Not only were they rude, but they also crossed the line by touching and pushing (ex. putting in chokehold) my friends and I without justification. There was absolutely no reason for this to have occurred as we simply just asked to retrieve a jacket. They are supposed to be keeping people safe yet they are the ones who start the fights at this place. This type of behavior is completely unacceptable and reflects poorly on the establishment as a whole. I will not be coming back.
