Server was very slow, we was basically forgotten, that's what it felt like. We watched other people come in after us sat down and ate, then leave before we've gotten our food. And a few couples and families. Very bad experience.

First, let me say that I had given up on steakhouse restaurants a long time ago. I find almost all of them overrated and overpriced for what you're getting. After all, how much should a good steak cost? Well, let's just say, "Whatever you're willing to pay."I was invited to a family dinner outing at Longhorn steak house a couple of weeks ago. When we arrived, the parking lot was jammed. After finally getting a parking space, we now had to contend with an hour and a half wait to be seated. After some discussion, the family agreed to wait. Seeing this and how many people they were turning away, I said to myself, " This must be some great steakhouse." Hmmm, read on.We were finally seated with appetizers ordered. The waitress eventually brought their fried onion appetizer with dipping sauce. Sorry, I don't remember the name, but I'm sure you're familiar with this offering and know what I'm talking about. It was nothing special, and had the taste and aroma of frialator grease. It was very unappetizing. A while later, the steaks came. I ordered my steak MEDIUM, not Medium Rare. I made sure my server understood this at the time I placed my order. What I received was a very rare steak that had so much salt on it that I should have sent it back because it was borderline inedible but was afraid to do so. I'm sure I would have incurred an unacceptable wait time for a replacement. To quote a line from a popular movie, "The steak was so rare it still had marks on it where the jockey was hitting it." Thank heavens I didn't have to pay for this dinner. Someone in my family picked up the tab.For years now, whenever I've wanted a good steak, I've headed over to my Butcher and have him cut a porterhouse or a ribeye steak. I pay between 30 and 50 dollars for a beautiful steak. It easily feeds two people, with ample leftovers, for a late snack, or some good pickings the next day. It is usually better than any steak, from any restaurant, at any price!!!Believe me, I understand most people either don't have the skill, time, or willingness to cook, and that's ok. All I'm saying is that in my case, I'm tired of getting my wallet cleaned out for substandard food. It has become the rule rather than the exception.I'd like to leave you with a few thoughts. Longhorn steakhouse will never see me again. They're a far cry from Ruth's Chris, or Peter Lugers. By the way, I know these named establishments by reputation only. I find it very amusing how most people are very willing to easily pay in excess of one, two, or even three hundred dollars or more when dining out at these higher end establishments, but are very reluctant to pay thirty to fifty dollars for a superior cut steak from a good butcher that they have to cook themselves. Have we become that complacent? Apparently so. Oh, well, as a dear friend of mine used to say, "Such is life." Remember what I always say. We all vote with our dollar, and the best food you will ever eat is from your own kitchen.Parking: Parking? Make sure you're wearing your walking shoes.

Prices are very fair and food is very good for the prices charged. Definitely need to call ahead although no reservations accepted. Always busy, always people waiting. Bone in ribeye was super tasty. Others had Flos filet. Everyone was satisfied. Onion pieces for appetizer also very good. Server Vincent was very attentive and polite. The few issues from the kitchen were not getting all plates out at one time, party of 4, rice was undercooked, asparagus could have been trimmed just another inch(woody bottom), and requested meat temperatures were not accurate. We all asked for medium rare and got a range of more medium to medium well. Loaded baked potato needed a little more load... maybe some butter under it all would've been perfect. Small issues which didn't ruin the meal but would have earned them 5 stars. Would visit again, overall experience was ?.Parking: Lot fills up but other store lot next door has plenty of spots.

Always delicious. Every time I come here, I get their Ribeye and unlike Texas Roadhouse, they've never (yet) cooked my steak differently from how I requested it (medium rare). The servers are friendly but in my experience, it could take a little bit of time to recieve your entrees. The portions are pretty good but used to be better, as I recall their appetizers like the boneless chicken bites initially having more food for the money. That said, I can't say that they've been skimping on the steaks and feel that the steaks and two entrees that come with it are actually a great deal for the money. One important thing to note about this location is that the wait times can be pretty long in the evening time, usually 30-50 minutes just to get a table. I can't blame them for their success though, and would recommend making a reservation with them if they accept reservations. As a side note, share the Chocolate Stampede with someone as it's too much diabetes for one person to handle on their own. Don't ask me how I know

Went on a late Saturday afternoon. The service was horrendous. Definitely not enough people working. It took us more than 20 minutes to get/pay the check. It is usually a go to place for us

Long wait time, before you are seated wait time not good due to indifferent and unfriendly hostess. Poorly managed time frames are provided, waited over 2 hrs. For a table of 6, once the table was ready had to wait another 20 minutes for table to be cleaned. Once you are seated everything changes to the better. Food and service is good.

Went over to Longhorn Steakhouse in farmingdale. Staff were welcoming and nice. Had to wait a bit for our food but well worth the wait in the end. BBQ Baby Back Ribs were great and everyone on the table liked what they ordered. The shrimps for the appetizer were very good.

Our first time there and we will definitely be back. The food was amazing, I usually don't get steak for dinner but I was happy I did, just that the french fries was too salty for our liking. Although the wait time was 1 hour and 45 minutes, the food came out fairly quick and was delicious. Our waitress was very pleasant even though she was very busy. We were too hungry to take pictures.
