Excellent dining experience from appetizers, entrees to dessert. Drinks were perfect as well as our wait staff. The best. Highly recommend. Perfect night.
The pork chop special was incredible as was the braised short ribs over pasta. Everything was delicious and our server made great recommendations when we were considering items. The pistachio gelato was a definite treat. Can't wait to return and try other menu items.
We had a delicious Christmas Eve dinner! It was our third one in a row!! We'll hope to celebrate again with Trento in 2026 on Christmas Eve. Sarah was our excellent served! Merry Christmas! Happy New Year!!
Trento has not let me down yet. The last 2 years I have taken my wife there for our anniversary and we both love the experience every time. Food, service and atmosphere are exceptional. I highly recommend this place to everyone. It is a bit pricey but it's the quality that make it all worth it.
Amazing food amazing service porter house steak was amazing Rob was an amazing server and offered excellent service
One of my favorite restaurants! Never had a bad dish, Anytime, that I'm in Melville I dine here. Great Food, Service and Bar.
We stayed next door at the newish Hampton and it was on their board. We had no resv and they were busy so we opted to eat at the bar. We got great service and great advice , truly a great visit. Moderate pricing but well presented and delicious. We got good vibes from some great guys who had eaten there numerous times. The evening turned out very convivial. If you’re local you likely know this, but if you’re in for a short visit and need a top shelf meal after a long day traveling; don’t pass this one. Great service, great meal.
Was pleasantly surprised. Waitress was quick, accurate and polite. Food was very good. Will return again soon.
Fried zucchini flowers were not good. The coating was soggy and the stuffing had the texture and look of dog food. The chefs crudo tasted fishy so we didn't eat and sent back. The pork chop with peaches and an apple cider jus was outstanding. Tender like butter. The skirt steak was chewy and flavorless. The filet mignon ordered med. rare came out black and blue. The waiter was fine until we mentioned that the crudo was bad. Then his whole demeanor changed and he was extremely short with us. The general manager was very empathetic and took all the bad items off the bill and also gave us a $100 gift card. This was unexpected yet appreciated.
Waste of money. $94 for a bone in rib eye that was not a prime steak? It was not good at all. The menu is limited. The service was awful, the waiter had an in depth conversation with the table next to ours with his back turned to us the entire time. The decor is dated and cheap. Stay away! There are much better Italian Steakhouses around with much better food, a better value and a better experience.

Love this place but just left was about to leave the food I just payed for because the waiter /miss bartender doesn’t listen and then tried to blame me for her mistake smh and was not sincere at all food and people are great except the blond bartender who messed up on my order who messed up couldn’t even take responsibility making me feel like I was the asshole when it was totally her fault when I was clear people just can’t take responsibility these day and have no class

This place had rave reviews and was within walking distance of our hotel. We easily got a reservation for 7. Our waiter was a very nice young man. The 1980s music was a bit too loud. The menu was varied and interesting but after consuming the food-way more expensive than necessary. The $75 lamb chop special was delicious, the salads were solid, the burger was good. The pasta dishes were flavorful but lukewarm at best. We chose a bottle of Cabernet that was excellent, but they ran out of our choice after 2 bottles and the substitution that they recommended was just ok. Our biggest complaint was the timing of dinner. We were given bread and water upon arrival, but had to wait 30 mins for our first bottle of wine, an hour for our appetizers, 90 mins for our main courses. Coffee, tea and dessert were served quickly and were tasty. It's Long Island, so of course it's located amidst strip malls, but you can't price food like you're a Manhattan high end steak house when you're wedged between an Arby's and a Buffalo Wild Wings!
Troffolino pasta appetizer was wonderful, complementary bread was delicious. Cocktails, especially lemon fig martini, were great and strong. Porterhouse for two was great, side dishes of truffle Mac and cheese and bacon brussel sprouts were fantastic. Our waiter Kumar was truly excellent and very attentive to our needs. We had a wonderful dinner and will definitely be back!

I was disappointed with the portion and flavors of the bucatini. The veal dinner was delicious and cooked nicely, however I felt that the truffle in my pasta drowned out the rest of the flavors.

We had another amazing experience at Trento in Farmingdale, Long Island. This cozy Italian restaurant has such a warm and inviting atmosphere. The food is absolutely outstanding — so delicious that you don’t even want to drive to New York City anymore, you just want to enjoy every bite here!
Our server Kumar took care of us for the second time, and he’s always professional, kind, and attentive. The entire staff is friendly and makes you feel welcome. Excellent service, incredible food, and a truly pleasant experience overall.
Highly recommend this place to anyone who loves authentic Italian cuisine! 🇮🇹🍝
