First time visiting and excited to try menu. Unfortunately also the first time we’ve walked out of a restaurant. Got there at 430pm to beat dinner crowd. Restaurant was 75% capacity at best. Sat at booth with menus for 15 minutes and watched multiple waitresses walk past our booth and not acknowledge our existence. We walked out. As a farmingdale resident and with all the restaurants on Main Street, I’ll spend my money elsewhere.

Service was very slow, they took food off our table very quickly and threw it out instead of asking if we want to take it home, so we had to order a whole new dish. My son asked for the hot chocolate flight without booze and they didn’t bother to make it look nice and just gave him a cup of hot chocolate. We wanted to order dessert but the check was thrown at us and we weren’t event asked if we wanted to see a dessert menu. $180 for four people and felt it like we got very little for it.

I never post a review until I’ve been to a place a few times… Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day. Of the many places I’ve been to for breakfast on Long Island, this is this is by far the best!!! Check it out! You won’t be disappointed!

As a foodie I have been searching for the best Corned Beef Hash and I found it at Whiskey Down Diner in Farmingdale. I sat at the bar and was faced with a wonderful selection of Bourbons and Whiskeys. At ten o’clock AM it was a bit too early for alcohol especially since I did not have my first cup of coffee. The waitress greeted me with a smile and took my order. My cup of coffee came out first and I was not disappointed. It was hot and strong yet mellow. A great start to my first experience at Whiskey’s. I always order my Corned Beef Hash well done along with my Hash Browns. At other restaurants, the chef seemed to have lost the recipe for well done. At Whiskey Down not only did the chef know how to make my Hash well done I think he actually wrote the recipe on how to cook orders well done. The Corned Beef and Hash had a wonderful, browned crust and was well seasoned. I included a picture of my dish, but my fork was faster than my iPhone camera. As a result, I was halfway through my breakfast before I snapped the picture. If you are looking for a pleasant atmosphere, wonderful service, and delicious food this is the place. Lovely place with retro vibe, modern takes on brunch and extensive yet not exhaustingly long menu Pancakes are always 10/10 here , cocktails 100% my favorite place for specialty drinks on the island I’ve brought many people here and all agree a very solid restaurant it shows they care about what they do and how they do it , all without being bank breaking and imo affordable. Social media is your friend if you wanna stay up to date with the seasonal speciality menu they offer here

Went there tonight around 6:00pm. The women at the front counter did not even know how to smile or be Pleasant or even be friendly. While the rest of the restaurant staff was great.
It took a very long time to get food refills and some of it was cold. I couldnt get a refill to save my life. And when I complained to the hostess that the waitress was not great the hostess told her. And than the waitress confronted me asking what my issue is. And after I told her she wouldnt let me go. Whats the problem? It was uncomfortable. I will never return.

I was here today for the first time! I honestly only came for the seasonal boozy coffee flights they have but was pretty hungry by the time I got there ..so decided to grab food as well. My mom and sister both got pancakes and LET ME TELL YOUUUUU their batter is something else. Idk what they put in it but those were the best pancakes I’ve ever had and I get pancakes everywhere lol my mom ordered the apple crumble pancakes and my sister got their standard ones and ah! They were both soo good I kept stealing from their plates lol I ordered the spicy feta toast which was ALSO super freaking yummy! I can’t believe I didn’t take photos. I only have pictures of the coffee flight lol oops!! But safe to say I’ll be back asap. Already told my fiancé to add this place to our list lol also our waitress was super nice and friendly! I

I had an absolutely TERRIBLE experience. My friends and I were seated outside around 7:15pm. We did not receive our drinks (fountain drinks and 1 beer) until after 8pm. 3 other tables seated after us received their drinks, appetizers, and meals while we were still waiting for our drinks. Our waitress or any employees outside who witnessed our disappointment did not apologize for the inconvenience. Not one of us were rude or said anything to the waitress, which any other restaurant patron would have done, but you could definitely see the disappointment and anger on our faces. When I finally received my entree, I could not even finish it because it was super spicy. I only ordered it because I was told that it was mild and this was far from mild. We asked for the check and had to give a busboy our receipt and credit card because then our waitress was no where to be found. As good as the appetizers and drinks were, the service was absolutely horrendous and these issues need to be resolved immediately. Maybe next time I should cause a scene and end up going viral so that I can get my food in a timely manner.
