I love this place. It's such a delight each time I come here. The bakery items are delicious and I love the torta mista any time of the day (make sure to ask for it on the Portuguese bread). I also recommend the chorizo bread if you want something very savory. And you can't go wrong with their Pasteis de nata. When I bring a mix of their baked goods to the office people go nuts for it. I can hear the stampede coming once I send out the announcement. Oh! And the bread! Oh my goodness. Great for home but also as a nice item to bring to a dinner at someone else's house.

This place has some great breads and pastries. The service is top notch considering they always seem to be busy and the counter person is always hustling.

Title: Unsanitary Practices at Euro Fresh Bakery: A Concerning ExperienceI recently visited Euro Fresh Bakery and unfortunately, my experience was marred by unsanitary practices that are deeply concerning. One of the most alarming observations was the staff's habit of not washing their hands, especially when handling money with a single glove on.Upon entering the bakery, I noticed a lack of attention to basic hygiene protocols. One staff member, who was handling both money and bread, wore a single glove. This practice not only violates fundamental food safety standards but also poses a significant risk of cross-contamination. Money is known to be a carrier of various germs and bacteria, and handling it with the same hand that touches food without proper hygiene measures is unacceptable. The absence of handwashing in such a setting raises serious questions about Euro Fresh Bakery's commitment to customer well-being. Proper hand hygiene is a basic requirement for any establishment involved in food preparation and service. It not only safeguards the health of customers but also reflects the bakery's dedication to maintaining a clean and safe environment.Exchanging money with the same hand used to handle bread is a particularly egregious violation of sanitary standards. Bread is a staple food item that customers expect to be handled with care and cleanliness. Combining financial transactions with the direct handling of food without adequate precautions is a recipe for potential health hazards. In addition to these unsanitary practices, the overall atmosphere of Euro Fresh Bakery left much to be desired in terms of cleanliness. The hygiene lapses observed during my visit have left me with serious reservations about the bakery's commitment to food safety and customer satisfaction. In conclusion, Euro Fresh Bakery needs to address these unsanitary practices promptly. Customers have a right to expect a high standard of hygiene when purchasing food, and any deviation from these standards can have serious consequences for public health. I hope the management takes swift and decisive action to rectify these issues and ensures that such practices do not persist in the future.

I first had their delicious Portuguese rolls at Taormina Restaurant & Pizzeria in Commack & just had to ask where they were from. Even though the bakery is a bit out of the way, it was worth the drive for not only the Portuguese rolls but the person who was helping me recommended the rice pastry which was delicious. I also had to try a coconut macaroon which was also delicious. The person who was helping me was very nice and recommended, since I did buy a few rolls, that I freeze the rolls in a paper bag if they weren't going to be consumed right away & then to put them in the oven & they would taste just as fresh as if they baked them.

I have been coming to this bakery for YEARS and it's my go-to for any need. Not only are their pastries, breads and cakes fantastic, they serve espresso, hot food and juices that are great as well. I love to come here for a quick bite. A good alternative if you want to try something from a different culture than the classic Italian bakeries they have around. Friendly staff even if you don't speak Portuguese as well :)
