This place cracks me up. First, it’s a crab / seafood place, then it changes to a ramen place, then it changes to Cajun crab shack again (which was amazing by the way), and now it’s a Japanese spot apparently. I have never seen a place change so many times, it’s just bizarre. Not even sure if it’s the same owners. Cajun Crab shack was amazing, sad to see it go so suddenly, truly a disappointment. We need more crab shacks, we have enough Japanese restaurants on Long Island. Stick to one thing, it’s confusing and disappointing.

2023.09 food are classic. Ramen is light soup, not too salty as well. 3 slices of chasui. $5 beer. Only 1 server for the entire place. They are the same place as the Cajun crab . Get the combo for $22 ramen + appetizer. My Kinya ramen has missing gold flakes!

When there for a quick lunch for two. Upon entering we realized we were the only guests in the restaurant. The staff was quick to see us and sat us down at a booth. The place is spacious and gives nautical vibes. Ordered two ramen combos which have the options of one ramen of choice and one appetizer for choice. I had the spicy ramen with soy chicken wings and my partner had ramen and buns. The food came at a decent time and was hot, service was good as well. The only small take back was the bathroom could use a little cleaning. Overall I would recommend this place and would go back to try the seafood options.

The food is awesome, the service is as well. The place is very big and mostly empty the 4-5 times I've been there. It's a little pricy so I'm guessing it won't be there long. Although I hope not. The food is really good.Parking: I've always found a spot but sometimes I have to walk a few blocks. No big deal though since you need to after a meal as good as that.

The service was pretty slow, the appetizers were good, but not incredible. Had the pork buns. The ramen was subpar, noodles didn't taste fresh, broth lacked flavor. I wouldn't say pass it up, deff give it a shot, everyone's taste buds are different... might of been a bad day. The restaurant itself was very nice.

I went there with my friend a long time ago (in April)! I never write reviews, but I loved this place so much that I have to! We went there because we were going to a show at UBS arena and we are not from the states, so we had no idea where and what to eat and we discovered this place and we just want to go back! The ramen was sooooo good! My friend isn’t the biggest fan of ramen and she thought it was some of the best ramens she’s ever eaten! The fried shrimp were some of the best friend shrimps we ever tasted!! The staff were so nice, we talked about the concert we were going and we had a fun conversation! We are going back to the States this summer and we will probably still go back even if it is far from where we are staying because we loved it so much!

We ordered takeout, spicy ramen, chicken wings, seafood pancake and a chicken chasui rice bowl. The ramen was spicy, about medium heat. The best part for me was the noodles and egg. The noodles had a nice chew and I liked the taste of the egg. The egg wasn't salty. My complaint would be the bamboo shoots. There were a lot. The corn was also a little tough. I didn't like the seafood pancake but it's a matter of preference. It was too bready and I didn't like the sauces on top. The chicken wings were very good taste wise but not crispy. The chasui rice bowl was a little dry. It needed a bit of sauce. I would go back for the ramen because I liked the noodles. I can leave the rest.

I used to get takoyaki here almost every weekend. Recently I noticed that it changed texture, and it feels like I’m eating mochi. I also didn’t even get any octopus inside each of the takoyaki. I wouldn’t be coming back anymore.

We came for a Friday date at around 6:15. There is street meter parking but it was all taken, we ended up about 2 blocks away, so not too convenient. We were seated right away on a booth. Our waiter was nice but we didn't particularly feel welcomed. Throughout dinner, we had to keep asking for water refills, even though he can clearly see that our cups were low. We ordered a Cajun boil, spicy ramen and the crispy chicken bun appetizer. The appetizer was the only decent plate we had. Spicy ramen lacked any depth in the broth and the spice was not enjoyable. There was very minimal flavor. We didn't finish the Cajun boil since the clams did not seem fresh. There are far better ramen places on Long Island to return to this one.

OIL. That is what I can say about this food. Pure OIL. I don't typically write a review for any place I go to unless it's good but this is on the other spectrum. I always give places the benefit of the doubt for trying their best but Kinya Ramen places themselves on the higher end of prices so you would expect GOOD TASTING FOOD. But instead they rely on cheap tricks. Ramen doesn't need to be oily at all but there is a sludge of it inside of it and don't get me started with the shrimp tempura. If you like oil, then please by all means go here. I was getting sick sitting at the table. The first photo is the amount I could eat. I left all of the rest on the table. I TRULY HATE wasting food and am very conscious of doing so but this was uneatable, even for my dog that I typically feed leftovers too. The second photo is the OIL that was stained from the shrimp tempura. So bad.The waitress was trying to be nice but also asked the ridiculous question as to "where do I get my ramen from" and I'm sorry to say, but no one needs to be an expert on ramen to know that this food is disgusting. The place was very nice and elegant. Great to go on a date or a family outting but the food is subpar. They offered me a coupon for my "next visit" and that was flabbergasting. I asked for it to be taken to go and honestly left it there. They charged me full price, which I understand. I'm not a Karen to cause a big scene and expect food and service to be free but this was ridiculous. Do a better job. I'm giving this a 1 star so people can find this review and understand what they're getting themselves into. Expect to get a few pimples after eating. And if a bot answer to this review it just goes to show the true transparency this place has. Sad that this is where society has taken us in terms of "quality service"
