NEVER AGAIN! I want no part of The Moynagh Family, their establishment Swing the Teapot, and its ignorant racist atmosphere!
The Moynagh Family and the staff of Swing the Teapot consistently made it clear to me that I was always welcome in Swing the Teapot ( how gracious of them ) with the understanding that I would be served second, if at all, to American Irish customers and would not receive the same special treatment that was given to American Irish customers, simply because I was not American Irish. According to Shane Moynagh and his staff, verbatim, the Irish are first. The many experiences that I foolishly gave financial support to, the racist treatment that I received because I do not have red hair and freckles, proves only too well the validity of the above mentioned words of Shane Moynagh and his staff!
I found being treated in this racist manner both shocking and rude to say the least. I was consistently left speechless every time that I went into Swing the Teapot, by the staff that treated me second or flat out ignored me because I was not American Irish, or in their words Irish. I ask myself and my fellow human beings why use our hard earned money to support something as evil as racism?
If questioned, I will say I never heard of Swing the Teapot. I refuse to embarrass myself by aligning my good name with racist people and their racist establishment. NEVER AGAIN will I give financial support to Swing the Teapot!

Great tea selection
Amazing atmosphere with a huge variety of teapots/teacups. Cozy but spacious.
If I recall correctly, when I asked, a worker said that many are donated to them by patrons. I think that adds to the atmosphere :)
Haven't tried the food yet. Gotta stop by for brunch sometime...

Cozy breakfast spot! Prices are fairly reasonable and that Irish breakfast is delicious. Get it with the baked daily Irish soda bread!! I also recommend the chocolate mint tea

I have been to Swing the Teapot three times. The first time , I had just tea and scones which were great (as expected from the theme of the restaurant). Second time I went for breakfast and had the French toast which was very good. The third time I went again for breakfast and I ordered the French toast again (based on my previous visit I was looking forward to it). However, this time it was NOT good. I was served 6 pieces of inedible, SOGGY bread. The server never came back to ask how things were. I suspect she knew which is why she didn’t come by to ask (it really should never have been served to begin with). Very disappointing experience considering my first two times there were acceptable. Based on the inconsistency of the food and the server who didn’t check on us (just came back to give us the bill), I will not be returning to Swing the Teapot.

Perfectly portioned breakfasts and the most unique teapots and teacup. The service was spectacular and the food was scrumptious. The staff and atmosphere were super friendly and accommodating. Perfect little place.

It was a cozy, pretty, and lovely cute atmosphere that's wasn't loud, so perfect for a nice breakfast with friends. It's worth the price and to spend time. Coffee taste just hit the spot, and foods stand out. Absolutely recommended.

I usually limit my 5s, but I couldn't think of one reason not to give 5s.
Ambiance - several layers of lovely, quiet, inviting, and a sip of nostalgia.
Service - lovely young lady; great genuine smile; polite and kind
Food - delicious panini... would have love a small bowl of marinara to dip it into (I'm a big-back/fatty... lol). I ordered sweet potato fries with it...cooked perfectly--crunch and soft inside. Finally, the Cajun omlete with the moderate spice...delish.
Oooops, diverse tea options are insanely good, and if you don't like tea, we also had a raspberry iced tea that was soooooo good. You definitely taste the flavor, which I appreciate.
Even the other customers (mature men - mini fedora and kangol) who were seated next to us were like and engaging.
...can't wait to return.
