Nice place to visit!

Kevin Lumbra

My wife and I have made it a tradition to visit Fly Creek Cider Mill whenever we’re camping in the area. Unfortunately, it feels like the place has become more of a tourist stop than the warm, welcoming spot we used to love.
It’s sad to say that what used to be one of our favorite cider donuts has lost its quality — it looked and tasted more like a grocery store version than the fresh, homemade treat we used to look forward to.

This place was a hidden gem on our weekend trip. We tried a delicious flight of ciders, had delicious food and bought delicious products. Also fed some ducks.

The new owners have turned this place into a tourist scam. They don’t maintain and keep up the fun things that you would take your family to see and instead focus solely on selling you stuff. The scam comes from running up your food bill when order the food. Whatever you order, they add more to it or a more premium item so that they can run up your bill. They don’t give you the receipt right away and instead give it to you with your food. It is only then that you see that you got up charged and when you complain they say it is too late you already got the food. For example, if you order a meal they will tell you it comes with max and cheese or chips but it doesn’t, that’s an extra $5+ up charge. If you order a slice of apple pie they will make it à la mode and up charge for it. They do it for every single item that they can.

Very fun place to bring your family to. The store is well packed with various different items. The Ducks and other fowl animals are fun to feed. They had activities for the whole family. If you are planning to eat lunch here the food options are limited but the ice cream is great.

I cannot say enough about this place. My son and I had so much fun visiting here. Not only for the donuts amazing but my son got a breakfast sandwich that was absolutely delicious. They have a little shop that I bought so much stuff from they have the cutest little things inside an amazing stuff to buy. They have homemade apple cider which was delicious. They have so many different kinds of rubs for steaks or chicken. They have amazing little trinkets to buy for Halloween when I went but even for christmas. We left with about eight shopping bags full of stuff. Not only did we do that but then we got to feed the Ducks which was also a blast we also got to look for gemstones they have just cool stuff to do they even have apple orchards and you can buy apples inside it was just a fun day beautiful day they have a little park for kids I just can't say enough how much I love this place

Very wholesome and fun family or date experience. Alcohol tastings for the adults, games and geese for the kids. Food and a beautiful store full of trinkets for everyone. Love this place.

A trip to Fly Creek used to be a highlight of our vacations in the Cooperstown/Milford area. Used to be. Things have changed at the Cider Mill just as they’ve changed everywhere else. I don’t know why I expected Fly Creek to be untouched by recent events, but it was. What used to be a hometown family run small business now reeks of profit-driven commercialization. Want to make sure you like the $14.99 12oz salsa, or the $17.99 tomato sauce? The place that used to provide samples of most items is no more (they did have small samples of tiny pieces of cheese and tiny pieces of fudge, but they were empty or nearly empty during the entire time we were there). Prices are really high. $22.99 for a strawberry-rhubarb pie? Sorry. Even by my ‘everything is priced too high’ standards, this place is now insultingly expensive. $3,000 for a cracked chair that isn’t supposed to crack? Or $799 for a single ‘glider’ chair? Sorry, but we’ll have to find a different highlight on future trips to the area.

Always a great spot to visit. Everything you need in one place for fall

It’s very obvious many of the workers don’t care about this job at all. I said my food order three times and the guy still got it wrong. It’s not even busy today. Great place with many crappy workers. It’s a slow afternoon.

Sales rep FC I think you need a different job.
