Do yourself a favor and order the pillowy gnocchi made by hand (on site), with the two meatballs and short rib! I don’t think I need to say more but I will….there are plenty of Italian restaurants on LI but none are as authentic as this one. We’ve been going to Filomena’s for years and it’s just always on point. The staff is so friendly and attentive….the space is beautiful and has a great vibe…. The food is the star….and they are so accommodating with changes and requests, and allergies, too. I’ve tried so many of their dishes—you just can’t go wrong. They always have great specials to try for people like me who like to order different things. And it’s also a great place for a large family dinner as they have a beautiful private room that hosts larger parties (as those spaces are hard to find!) and it keeps my Italian in-laws happy when we all go together. Can’t say enough good things…oh and the owner is also fantastic—he’s so personable and always makes sure everyone is very well taken care of.

We had a dinner party for 32 people for our daughter's 30th birthday on a Friday night. From booking to the end of the night, everything was seamless. Mario was attentive, informative and so personable when I booked the date. The $ package deals are unbelievable for what you get. Filomena was great with confirming all details prior to the event. I was able to come in earlier to decorate and was helped by the staff. Our hostess/waitress (Mariacelli (sp?) and assistant waiter, Tony were amazing. Everyone enjoyed every course that was brought to the table. The service and food are ALWAYS on point. We were allowed to bring in our own specialty, themed cake and cookies. On any other visit, we have never walked out unsatisfied. We are made to feel like we are the number #1 priority. Recommend making reservations on the weekends.

Had a private (20ish people) mid afternoon event this weekend and I cannot stress how perfect everything from the location/room, attentive service, and incredibly delicious food. Highly highly recommend this for any event - there is no shortage of food and the service is quick to make sure everyone had what they need! My favorites were, in no order, the baked clams, perfect calamari, baked artichokes, penne vodka sauce and such tender veal! What a perfect place for a celebration, the team here knocks it out of the park!

Enjoyed a birthday celebration here with 19 family members. We did reserve a room two months in advance. We were seated in a separate dining room, completely private and relaxing. Very attentive and accommodating waiter took care of us. Everyone enjoyed the appetizers and main dishes, as well as the expresso drinks afterwards. Parking was easy with a free parking lot across the street from the restaurant. We’ve have enjoyed dining at this fine Italian restaurant for over 45 years now…

The staff knowledgeable and friendly. The owners attentive and accommodating. An enjoyable dining experience. Also a great place to have a function.
