The women’s restroom had really strong odors, it smelled like a mix of human waste and bleach. Your cleaning staff needs to get on top of making sure the bathroom dosen’t make your patrons dizzy from simply having to go to the bathroom.
Came for bar food with some friends, left with a headache and dizziness. I hope this establishment dosen’t have black mold and that’s why they used so much bleach in the bathroom.

Understaffed dining area, and slow service during dinner. There was a foul smell in the Men's bathroom, that I didn't bother using the restroom before leaving. My girlfriend and I noticed there were little patrons during dinner service and despite that food, took over an hour to come out. Food was underpar compared to Conolley's Station who had better service and friendlier staff honestly, if I came during my lunch break I would be late.
Reading the other one star reviews, I can see why this place isn't recommended anymore. My dad had good memories of this place, but he clearly hasn't been back in years.

This happened 8 months ago, I didn’t leave a review then because I was still shocked about what happened that night. I have never waited so long just to pay a bill, and for our food to even come out in total.
There were only two staff that night in an empty restaurant with one other couple and it still took at least an hour for our food come out, the restaurant area was empty save for the other couple and maybe a few bar patrons on the other side of the establishment with a bartender already serving them.
Later came the check, we tried to pay for our meal with my boyfriends card we were told it was declined despite my boyfriends card had more than enough credit limit for the meal. Then when we tried another card, they told us the restaurant wifi was down (whatever that means). When we tried to pay in cash, we discovered the atm was down. So the wait staff made us wait over 45 mins until the atm or whatever personal problems they had stopped.
I felt like a prisoner in that establishment, we have places to be that night and was ruined by being forced to sit and wait for the restaurant to get its act together during the 45 minutes at no fault of our own. During this wait we weren’t offered any coffee, desert or anything. I felt like an unwelcome intruder, despite just having dinner here.
We will not be returning, ever since that experience we do not want to go through being imprisoned like that again.

I am not one to go online and review but I have to share my experience from tonight. Going in, the place is hot and musty, and just smells old. All of the food was disgusting, including my husband’s actually rancid steak. I ordered fried chicken and it was extremely extremely dry and old, probably fried on three seperate occasions. We told our waitress our concerns and they took the steak off only even though the only thing eaten out of the three meals and one appetizer we ordered, was fries. All of us, including my son, are having stomach issues from the food. I really doubt they practice safe food handling from what was served to us tonight. Be cautious!

I moved to Franklin Square about 2yrs ago & Murphs was my first visit! Annie the owner is ONE OF A KIND!!! The place is very homey & now I walk in & they are already pouring my drink ..now that is service! The food is delicious Irish Nachos are MY FAVORITE but I have enjoyed everything I have ordered there! A BONUS is every other Friday is KARAOKE NIGHT!!! Come check them out have a cold one & enjoy this very neighborhood friendly cheers kinda spot!!!

I take my kids here for lunch several times a year. It has great kids lunches, 8 dollars including a soda and ice cream for dessert. I almost feel bad walking away so cheap for lunch. They always have crayons for the kids to draw on the placemats. I'm happy places like this still exist. Plus they have a good selection of cold draft and canned beer for a wornout father.

Went here for a birthday dinner, food was made like half trash also had horrible tasting Chicken Cordon bleu that was burnt. Also tried eating corned beef that seemed like horribly cooked roast beef that was spoiled. Place was completely dead no excuses for being busy. The cake was left out considering it was not cold just warm. Seemed like the fridge wasn’t working since the milk wasn’t cold either. No a/c it was on even though 7 people were sweating on the table. Waitress made some lovely comments…. Having 3 fireballs shots with my friend she claimed “what is this a country club” as well after we were leaving that apparently a $50 tip was too low lmao that’s more then she made the whole night.
