My friend & I spent over $35 there, only for me to get home to start eating & realize that there was hair in my food. I called the store to get them to exchange the food seeing as though I do not drive & the young lady who was also the cashier proceeded to bombard me telling me that her chef doesn’t have hair so it would be impossible for me to have gotten hair in my food. I also heared everyone arguing in whatever language they speak in the background about my order. I was told that I needed to come back in to the store to show them proof even though they were going to be delivering dumplings that was missing from another order that my friend made, which didn’t make sense to me. I made my way to the store, showed them the food to which they then turned on their flashlights on their phones pretending that they didn’t see the hair. Once I showed them these pictures the guy “chef” got up to remake my order to which I told them that I didn’t even want the order at this point I just want a refund. She got on the phone with her manager who I’m guessing was also the delivery man because she said that I had to wait for him to come back to get the refund because she doesn’t know how to do it. After a little more back & forth of me telling her that I did my part by bringing back the food & that I partially paid cash so she should at least be able to give me that back so I can go on my way. . . She changed her tone & reached into the register to give my refund & said “I’m sorry for the hair”My problem was not the fact that there was hair in my food, the problem was the customer service aspect & how the young lady handled me on the phone & tried to argue with me about my order as if I was lying or something then when I asked for a refund she decided to calm down & try to be “nice”. Customers are always right & even if YOU feel like they aren’t that is no way to treat them!

Ordered take out dinner combo with three rolls + miso soup and salad, and tried their pad see ew and curry puff. Everything was delicious and I appreciate the rice to fish ratio. Free delivery over $15. You can easily order online thru their website. Would def recommend Futigi, this is my new go to sushi spot!

This is my go-to sushi place and has been for about three years, however, I may need to switch it up. Tonight, I ordered two miso soups, a shrimp shumai, four pieces of ikura and a salmon, squash and cucumber hand roll. Now, regardless of whether it was 49 minutes before closing time or someone was very tired, there was really no excuse for the quality of food that I got. The shumai tasted off and like old shrimp, the roe in the ikura was all mashed up and milky looking and one of the hand rolls had a piece of "salmon" in it that was clearly WAY past its prime (see picture). Really, the only salvageable food was the miso soup. I'd rather that they call and tell me they're out: this shows that someone absolutely favors profits over serving quality food that won't make you sick. Needless to say, that was an expensive, and final, mistake.

Overall i was expecting better food. It was on the expensive side for way too few portions. We paid over $40 for some sushi once and it was only for 2 boxes of sushi. The sushi was all pretty small and lackluster in taste and it wad that expensive even tho we ordered from the lunch menu. Another time we decided on hibachi and paid over $33 but when we got home we saw that the box wasnt even full, with multiple corners of the meal box empty filled with air. Tbh better off buying from somewhere else as it qould be cheaper, better taste, and better portions.

I've driven by Futigi a few times (it's on the corner of 164th St and 69th Ave) and I've been wanting to stop by. I was pretty far away at work so I ordered delivery. I was happy when I saw that they offered lunch specials! I opted for the 3-rolls lunch special - I got the salmon avocado roll, eel avocado roll, and shrimp tempura roll. This wasn't mentioned on the app, but this comes with miso soup. The rolls arrived a little disorganized (probably knocked around during delivery) but everything was there. I enjoyed the salmon avocado and the eel avocado roll the most. The salmon and the avocado were so fresh and the eel surprisingly did not come with tiny bones or loose scales (this is common when ordering eel at any sushi restaurant because the eel comes straight from a package precooked and it's hard to see the minuscule bones and scales under the dark sauce). The shrimp tempura roll was mediocre. The shrimp was pretty short so it didn't cover the entire length of the roll (5 pieces) so one piece I had was shrimp-less, just rice and seaweed. They drizzled a little bit of unagi sauce on it like they did with my eel avocado roll, but it was futile. The taste and texture of the shrimp tempura roll were just not hitting. It likely got cold from the 50 min delivery time so I didn't want to discredit the restaurant for that. This is getting 4 stars from me anyway because the other two rolls were fantastic and the price was good. (At the time of this review in March 2023, it's $14.50 for 3 rolls)

It's a small excellent Japanese restaurant that came to my tiny little enclave of a neighborhood.... By the Key food on 164th Street and 69th avenue in fresh Meadows.... Best Japanese food, compared with most other Japanese places in Queens... this is the best. Lunch specials and the best miso soup I ever had.... You can never go wrong here!

pretty good customer service, not much talking involved, The interior of the restaurant is pretty cozy,
