I recently visited Zen Restaurant and overall the food and atmosphere were enjoyable. The service was friendly and the dishes were tasty. However, I was disappointed because I did not receive the happy hour discount that I expected.
I went during what I believed to be happy hour, but the discount was not applied to my bill and the staff didn’t explain how it works. I would really appreciate more clarity on the happy hour times, eligibility, and how to get the discount next time.
If the restaurant can provide clear information on the happy hour promotion, I’d be happy to update my review. Otherwise, I would recommend double-checking with the staff before ordering.

One of the only places in nyc where you can still get ayce sushi and sashimi for 30 with free drinks. Sushi quality is party solid for a buffet. This place definitely deserves more recognition for its affordability and quality

Probably the most underrated spot in fresh meadows. The sushi is flavorful and textured to perfection. They have this one sushi roll dish with spicy mayo and shrimp it's incredible! The spicy mayo has a little bit of kick to it but it disappears quickly and I'm not a spicy eater but they were delicious! Their green tea ice cream is the real deal it's so creamy and so smooth. Thank you for the delicious food I will definitely be back!

Local spot that deserves more love. The food, ambiance, and service were top tier. They have a great variety of dishes, rolls, drinks and desserts. They'll definitively see me more especially for the AYCE menu.

The All You can Eat deal is pretty solid, for $30 you get all you can eat hot and cold food plus a beer or soda. It's just a good deal
Zen Fusion Cuisine is absolutely terrible. A few months ago, I overheard the workers talking badly about me and my friends in Chinese, saying things like “why don’t they just leave” while we were still eating. That already left a bad impression, but we decided to give it another chance recently and it was somehow even worse. The chef complained that we ordered “too much,” even though it’s all-you-can-eat and the restaurant was completely empty, with workers sleeping and scrolling on their phones. When we finished eating, we only had two pieces of sushi left, and the server kept pressuring us to eat them over and over even after we had already paid. One of the beef dishes had foaming bubbles on it, the food tasted old and stale, and nothing was fresh. They also refused to accept a coupon, claiming it “doesn’t apply to all-you-can-eat,” even though nowhere on the coupon did it say that. On top of that, they automatically charged a tip even though the server was extremely rude, as I mentioned before. The staff were unprofessional, the service was awful, and the entire experience was uncomfortable from start to finish. I would never step foot in this place again and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. Save your time and money and go somewhere else.

The staff is super attentive the food was delicious we stumbled upon them in our new neighborhood glad we found them we love sushi and theirs did not disappoint! Delicious even their soup was great the drinks I have to say I never had such a good lychee Martinee! We found a gem within walking distance! Oh and their all you can eat worth it!!

We were there on a week day. The resturant was understaffed, and the dishes came out haphazardly. Some of us had finished our main meal before others got theirs. The food did not taste fresh and had no flavor whatsoever. The cocktails did not taste nice either.

DO NOT EAT HERE FOOD IS HORRIBLE. DISGUSTING AND THEY SAY THEY HAVE AN ALL YOU CAN EAT FOR 29.99 . I COULDNT EAT MY FIRST ROUND OF FOOD AND THEY CHARGE ME AN EXTRA $15 BECAUSE I COULDNT EAT IT . IT WAS NOT APPETIZING. MY CHILDS FOOD WAS $11 & THEY CHARGED ME 14.95 FOR IT ASWELL AS THEY ADDED THEYRE OWN $20 TIP. I PAID ALMOST $100 FOR NOTHING I ATE NONE OF IT. OUT OF RESPECT I STILL WANTED TO PAY FOR MY FOOD BUT WHEN I SAW THE EXTRA CHARGES I LOST IT. PLEASE SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN!!
