Beautiful place in every way. Rustic atmosphere with horse racing decor. Great piano bar entrance and private room as well.Staff is amazing and attentive. The food was superb, filet, salmon and the sides. Forgot to take pics at this private banquet for our sailing club. But all was outstanding, including the rich chocolate flowerless cake.

I have been here before and in the past was pleased. Not this time. My salmon was unseasoned and tasted funny. I love salmon but only managed to eat half of it. The vegetables were 5 small burnt pieces of potato. The side salad was 90% arugula, and really needed some other flavors. Service was very good.

We came to the Wishing Well for Easter dinner with my in laws. I didn't catch our servers name but he was great! The drinks were good, I had their specialty margarita and my husband had a Bourbon and pear beverage. For dinner I had the filet mignon, it had a good crust. The best part was the light lobster salad. I wish it had a little more lobster but it was still good. My husband had the ham Easter special, which was spectacular. I really appreciated the thin sliced pieces. We also got family sides with the lobster Mac and Cheese and the Brussels sprouts. Since it's a holiday we got dessert and my husband and I split the carrot cake, which was decent.

This is one of my go to spots for special occasions due to its ambience and overall atmosphere. This place has really good service. Love it on the weekends with the live music and the food is exceptional. Come ready to spend some money. This place is pricey.

With the track season coming up the Wishing Well is the best place to visit in Saratoga. From the well cooked Filet Migunion to the dazzling Cookie Skillet, the food is at the top of the pyramid of the food in Saratoga. The service was excellent. Many individuals in this restaurant with joyful smiles on their faces and overall nice people to be around. Lastly the Atmosphere from the beautiful cabin look to the horse and track history/look I believe this place tells a lot about the history of the track and Saratoga. Also, the live music is amazing with a great pianist. Overall, from head to toe this is the best restaurant in Saratoga.

Edit: Years later, and this is still one of my favorite restaurants in the area. Well, now they are my favorite. Bob and his staff are absolutely amazingly and they truly are unreasonably hospitable. The food is always perfect, and they really know how to treat their patrons.Original: I can not say enough good things about the quality of food, drinks, and service. To top it off, the atmosphere is even better. One of the best in the area. If you have not yet been, you're missing out on a great experience.

normally, I would give this restaurant a four star review. Unfortunately, after my last visit, I can only give it 2 stars. I have been there many times, and the food is normally very very good. The last time I went they had a lobster special and it was very disappointing. The main lobster body was cooked separately and had a crab stuffing served with it. The lobster portion was cooked, but the stuffing was extremely dry and very little crab meat. the clause of the lobster was the most disappointing they were not cooked properly. The meat was a grayish see-through color, and it was cold. I mentioned it to the waiter when he took the plates away that I thought the claws were undercooked. I asked for nothing in return, except maybe let the chef know, the host came over And without really a discussion and I'm not sure he even looked at the clause that were already now in the back said it was fine. I'm assuming that since I ate the main body which I said was cooked fine, he assumed maybe I was trying to get a free meal or something which I find in itself insulting. I waited a couple of weeks before putting this review so they had proper time to think about it. there are many good restaurants in the Saratoga area, so I guess I will choose to go elsewhere and not return to this one

I'm very fortunate to have this place nearby. The food is always great and the service is wonderful. We often order take out as well and it is just as good. However the restaurant itself has a special warm and cozy ambiance with live piano music and so we try to dine in often. It is fine dining and appropriate for special occasions as well casual week days with a kids menu. Date night or family night it's always a win.
