Best turkey dinner on earth. Miss this place and I hope they get back soon! A respite from the mania of downtown Saratoga - especially during Racing Season

Well , we thought we would stop since we hadn't been in quite some time. We were ignored by the bartender and servers for quite some time. A server with a cast on her foot kept walking by rolling her eyes and was complaining to the bartender about taking our table. It all just felt very awkward and I really wanted to leave but I didn't want to upset the rest of our party. The food was ok but nothing special and lukewarm .The most alarming thing was watching through the door to the kitchen after we ate. The older man with longish hair cooking was wiping his face and was touching the food with his bare hands . The young man next to him was doing the same and touching all the food . He was touching the pasta in a strainer (probably to heat ) scooping up fries etc . Literally touching everything....gross. I don't believe it is somewhere our family will chance again.

I would never recommend this place. I ordered their $32 steak and the baked onion soup. Soup was warm cheese barely melted. Steak. Steak was tuff. Our friends order the crab cakes and the spaghetti with meatballs. The sauce was bitter and tasted out of the can and was told her crab cake tasted like kerosene. The waitress was new and had no idea about anything. Every time we asked a question she had to go ask someone for the answer. Waitress came by and said how is everything and we said the steak is tuff she smiled and walked away My dog doest mind the tough steak ?.Parking: No

We had a great family dinner celebrating a very happy 70th birthday for my FIL! The food was delicious, the waitstaff was friendly and accommodating.

Scallop dinner was the best I've had in a long time. Cooked to perfection and highly recommend

Absolutely horrible service. We ordered a French onion soup and a cup of soup that came with a dinner. My FOS arrived first and I finished before the cup of soup came. The waitress told us that we waited because they ran out and needed to make more. However the table next to us, who arrived after us was able to get their soup before we did. What a liar of a waitress, never knew soup could be made in under 10 minutes. I also ordered a ginger ale and was told at first they may not have any if it didn't get changed. That is not a hard process. The chicken parmesan that we ordered was so tough, the steak knife they brought out was having a tuff time cutting thru it. I was even brought a steak knife for my Lasagna, I never knew you needed a steak knife to eat Lasagna. I left a 15% tip and that for the service I received was 15% to much.

No Turkey Again. 7 PM out of Turkey. Unbelievable. Everything else in the menu isn’t that good. I made a reservation and told them we want the Turkey. “No problem we have plenty”. Cannot Recommend anything but the Turkey. Crab cakes tasted like bbq. Stuffed mushrooms where raw un cooked. Cheese Burger. Good taste The staff is A+++. Awesome people— they said. Supply Chain issues. Small Turkeys. No Turkeys. Etc. but if your entire reputation rests on serving delicious Turkey dinners with all the fixings. You figure it out. Go to the local Supermarkets. There are plenty of big fat turkeys. Raise the price. But serve what everyone comes here for. Turkey. Not Crab Cakes with hardly any crab or meatballs and by the way, I’m Italian and your homemade sausage is just as bad as your Crab Cakes. Stick to Turkey.

I'm not even sure where to begin with this review other than to warn you to skip stopping at this establishment for anything. Purely low class, charging Saratoga prices for mediocre food. No one greets you, no hostess station. We had to approach the bar and were ignored for several minutes before being addressed to let them know we had arrived for our reservation. We were seated and, eventually, our terribly trashy and rude waitress asked us if we would like something to drink. To our son who asked what soda options they had, she snarkedly responded, "Pepsi and Diet Pepsi...sometimes Ginger Ale but not often so I usually just say Pepsi and Diet Pepsi." We were a 6 person table celebrating a 71st birthday. I politely asked for French onion soup without bread and the scallop dinner with only asparagus as I do not eat bread or potatoes due to a dietary restriction. Her response, with an awful face, "my chef will be very upset at me but I'll write it down". Ok, stop right there...I understand if it's a restaurant's policy to not accommodate menu changes but come on... there's a proper way you can go about letting a customer know this and that most certainly was not it! Next, the salads come out. The "Italian dressing" is simple oil & vinegar and the "Ranch" is has an abundance of dill and garlic that is very overwhelming. Fast forward about 20 mins and my soup comes out loaded with croutons. When she eventually realizes I am not eating it she says, "oh, he put the bread in anyway, I'll talk to him" She comes back out awhile later and says, "he told me that French onion soup can not be made without croutons or the cheese sinks to the bottom and burns" I can't even have a response to this statement as I'm dumbfounded by it. I order French onion soup all over (for instance, the Olde Bryan Inn that makes the most perfect one!) and have never heard of anything so idiotic. She also let me know that I could not have asparagus because he only had enough to plate asparagus with the meal it ordinary comes with. My scallops were very fishy. Other food items were fine but nothing spectacular for close to $40/plate. I could go on honestly as there were several other things that happened but this review is exhausting. Oh, she wasn't sure if she could put whipped cream on the cheesecake because of the new '21 or older to buy whipped cream' law here in NY. She said because of that (mind you it literally just went into effect) the manufacturer slowed production and its hard to get. For real? Where does this woman come up with this stuff? We asked her if they could possibly put a candle in mom's dessert and her response was, "I might be able to find one but I am not singing" No one asked you to sing! So rude, so trashy and a clearly entitled "chef" in the back. We will never go back. This place isn't even up to bar food standard let alone a classy Saratoga restaurant.

Last night I had the Beecher Salad for dinner as it's a large size salad. The tomatoes and cucumbers had fresh from the garden flavor. That's all.

We ate there Thursday, Sept 1st at 7:40. We were recommended to order the turkey, but they were out. They explained it happens a lot. Ok, no problem. Husband ordered yummy french onion soup and fish dinner- sole or flounder I think. Very good and large portion. I had turkey rice soup- delish. I also had a crab cake and stuffed mushrooms. Stuffed mushrooms were good but they shouldn't serve crab cakes. It had the oddest taste ever. Very strange. Someone else at the bar also ordered it and came over to later say how bad it was. Maybe they should stick to turkey since that's what they are known for. We did have great, friendly service.

Very nice rustic restaurant. Food was great and the staff was friendly. I would say the prices are reasonable.
