Decent atmosphere for a drink, and service, but I’d pass on the food other than the greasy but yummy pretzels. My companions liked the deep fried pickles as well but the burgers were not rated highly by any of the three people I was with and my salad was barely edible with not shaved raw Brussels (menu said “shaved”) that were too hard to bite into.

“Funny” reply noted by owner/manager. Maybe sarcasm isn’t the smartest response to an honest but not great review of an essentially inedible salad a customer paid for. Definitely not going back! Reduced to one star since you can’t post a minus one. So funny!

Amazing space, great food and wonderful staff.

Strange Design doesn’t take reservations but they made quick accommodations for our 12 top. Our group has a myriad of dietary restrictions and they were able to accommodate all of them. Food was so good - particular highlights were the chicken and waffles and the breakfast burrito. John was an INCREDIBLE server - super friendly, fun and wonderful. He dealt with all of our shenanigans and played into the fun.

Great little spot for breakfast/brunch. Such a cool historic building and the food was seriously excellent. Very accommodating to dietary restrictions as well. Bloody Mary was good too. John was our server and did an awesome job!

Definitely my favorite local brewery. The food is always good and the beer is exceptional. I’m a huge fan of the Raspberry Kolsch.

I adore this brewery for its continuous innovations with the beer list. Strange Design delivers a traditional beer list with one or two beers that are innovative interpretations of contemporary styles.

Great historic space and beer, we got there right as they opened and had a great conversation with the young lady pouring brews, friendly and welcoming place.

Great beers in a really cool and historic building!

Husband and I stopped in for the first time. Beautiful building and great staff.
Tried a beer flight. All the beers we tried were good but we highly recommend Raspberry creme and Emmeline. Food was still on brunch but the biscuits and gravy were excellent.
We will be back for dinner soon.

Check online and this place looked great. Decided to give it a try after a swim meet at Geneseo.

The good: chicken sandwich with a hot honey bourbon glaze was great. The beers were well made. The owner was awesome! He ended up finishing the table service and made the experience end well. The atmosphere and place it self was pretty cool, historic structure.

The Bad: the server and hostess should not be working in this industry. They had a poor vibe going on from the time we entered the building. The hostess (dark hair, thin girl) was rolling her eyes at another coworker and had negitive body language. Our server (blonde) was even worse. She was hurrying our every move and seemed to have zero patience. When she checked on us after we got Our food I told her that my wife’s fries we cold and we never got our appetizer, we were never given silverware or napkins. She went and got them with an eye roll and some attitude. Then came back 15 min later without fries but did have our appetizer. We told her to just for get about them since we were nearly done eating. She immediately became very disrespectful and was gaslighting us into making us feel like we were mistreating her! We never raised our voices or personally insulted her in anyway. Just asked to have the fries we didn’t receive removed from our bill. Thank goodness the owner took over our table and the table behind us who was equally displeased with her poor attitude. The owner made it right and was great! saved his servers horrible service. Kudos to you sir. You need a few new employees.

Very cool place... has a historic vibe to the decor. The beer is spot on, I had their oktoberfest & black stout. Oktoberfest had a nice, dark color with the right amount of malt finish, just a hint of bitterness on the end. The black stout had a good hint of smoke. Definitely worth the visit!
