This is a gem in the Finger Lakes. The brewery specializes in Belgian style beers and food and delivers on that promise. The Trappist-style ales are spot on and the frites are delicious. The ambiance is spectacular and there is plenty of space to accommodate large groups both indoors and outdoors.
The beer review (sorry! Didn't have any grub there). They had some kind of a two-fer saison flight with one of theirs, Summer Farm Ale (Saison d'Epeautre), and one from Belgium, which none of the servers could pronounce. Both were good, but it's their own farmhouse saison that was worth returning to for a full pour. Most of the brews are Belgian-centric, and it's always refreshing to find a brewery with a true specialty.
This brewery goes out of its way to make you feel comfortable. A dedicated greeter upon entrance, ala a maitre d, immediately lets you know that they care about you, the customer, as well as their own quality of service. From there, it's table service like a restaurant. The outdoor seating area is big and spread out, so those servers are definitely getting their steps in every day. That they can keep chipper despite this shows their dedication.
As for the atmosphere, this is one of the better brewery experiences. There are beaucoup deck chairs outside, but not so many that you feel overwhelmed. Didn't sit inside because it was a beautiful day, so can't speak to the vibe there.
Is this the best brewery in the Seneca Lake area? Best in The Finger Lakes? If Belgian-style beer is your thing, without a doubt.
Delicious beer!!! Must enjoy between wineries!!!
Really cool spot with unique architecture and great selection of their own beers.
Top to bottom the food, service, drinks and ambiance never disappoint!
Always a great experience. The food, staff, and atmosphere are relaxed and inviting.
Warm and inviting atmosphere with attentive and personable service. Food was great and good portions.

Food and atmosphere awesome as always. Had reservation but didn't feel welcomed this time. Waitress not cordial with our table as with other tables. Negative vibe today.

I came here with my family for a beautiful Fall night and sat outside with them. We all enjoyed a drink or two each (or a flight), and we ordered a bunch of different food to share. My favorites were the cheesy pretzel braid and the mussels, but everything was amazing. All the food was delicious, the beer I had was perfect, and the staff was so friendly. I live far away and time with family is rare; I was so thankful for this lovely atmosphere to truly enjoy their company in! Also, they are dog-friendly, so you can bring your furry friend and sit outside with them. :)

Truly a unique setting for this brewery in an old sheep farm. It is gorgeous! Our group of 8 had no problem getting seated a little earlier than our reservation. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about their Belgian beer selection. The food was great. Many of shared dishes so we could try more of the items on the menu. Next time I’m in the area I will definitely go back.

Great historical building and very cool menu. The beer was a very nice surprise and while not close to my home, looking forward to making a special trip back for more.
Update Nov 2024:
Went for Sunday Brunch. The beer is still very nice and the Dubbel is outstanding. Was disappointed on two fronts: no coffee served or even available during brunch and to order food they request a cc to hold or start a tab. That alone is off putting and will likely no return for food.

My wife and I stopped here for beer on our way to dinner. This was our last stop for the day after a few wineries. Brewery Ardennes has been on my list of places to visit for over a year but we were just never able to get there. It didn’t disappoint! The building alone is so neat and looks like it was plucked out of the European countryside. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful with recommendations. They are also dog friendly. They had a burger and beer special that had me rethinking our dinner selection, but we will just have to return to try the food. Belgian style beer has never been a go-to style for me, but these beers were fantastic!
