Cool place, unique food. Server gave 95% of her attention to the other 2 parties at the bar- one was a winery owner from Ithaca, the other a sommelier from Ukraine! Don't get me wrong, we thought they were special, too! But when they started offering tastings, we were greatly interested, but sadly ignored. It put a damper on an otherwise fun time.
Microclimate Wine Bar is a little haven of creativity and deliciousness, run by charming and skilled professionals and in the heart of the Finger Lakes. It reminds me a of a little Japanese izakaya in Portland, Maine but with very seasonal Finger Lakes ingredients and some southeast Asian influence. EAT HERE. This spot did not come up when I was Googling dinner places for our weekend, and the storefront is unassuming. We happened upon it when departing diners told us it was the BEST FOOD.
