Monterrey Mexican Restaurant II

Edit: the son of the owner got a hold of me and resolved the issue. He was very nice and explained that there has been some family health issues that his parents were dealing with. He was asked to step in to review the transactions and contact the credit card company to verify things. It took some time but I'm very pleased with the result. He paid me back in full, in cash. We will be back again in the near future. First off...I loved this restaurant and I have been going here for years but my recent visit had a major issues I've been unable to get resolved. On 6/6 I went with a large group from work for lunch. The food and service were very good but the issue happened when we went to cash out. They had an issue with their computer system and they told us they were unable to run our credit cards. I went to a nearby ATM and got out cash, paid the bill and left a good tip. Later that night I noticed a charge on my credit card for the full amount of $43.79. I called the restaurant and they told me I had to call back when the owner was there on Saturday because they didn't know what to do about it. I explained they could either reverse the charge or refund me the money because I paid twice. They said I would need to talk to the owner and to call back. I now have called back 10 times and I've been told multiple times that the owner will contact me and they have not. I just want my money back. I'm going to dispute the charge on my credit card now because I'm not getting anywhere with them. I'm very disappointed because I love this business but this is horrible customer service. It's been 14 days with no resolution in sight.

Food was overcooked taste less leftovers. Sorry but I can’t recommend and will never go back.

went on mothers day for dinner and there was no waiting ,the food was great,hot and plenty! Margarita was also great

Great little spot.
Pleasantly surprised with the great food and service.
I had the Burritos Mexicana. I had one steak and one chicken. My wife ordered the Pollo Madrina.
Both dishes were absolutely fantastic.
Washed them down with a couple of Coronas and left very happy with our experience.
When we visit the Finger Lakes again, we'll be sure to stop in.

First off this was my very first time at restaurant and town of geneva ,food absolutely outstanding, then this wonderful young couple paid for our meal ,I asked you she said just because, awesome people awesome town !

We have always had great experiences at Monterrey. The food is great and the waitstaff is the best. Everything is prepared fast and well. In addition, the price is right. You can’t go wrong. Back to the waitstaff. Jesus is amazing. He is extremely friendly and always works hard. There is another young lady there that is also fantastic but I can’t think of her name. The two of them keep everything clean and running smoothly. They are both very kind and always willing to get you whatever you need. Most of the time they are on the way with what I need before I even have to ask. Amazing job!

Only complaint I have is there's cilantro in or on almost everything and I can't eat it. It greatly limits the huge menu for me. But the food is outstanding otherwise.

The staff are wonderful, they catered to my every need. The food was delicious and authentic. If you are in upstate New York be sure to stop by and enjoy the great food.
