My husband and I have been coming to Ravine Winery for the past 3 years and all experiences have been fantastic until this year. We even became Ravinous Wine Club Members last year due to the phenomenal service and wine. This most recent visit was definitely a miss. Our tastings weren’t described to us and we were forgotten about. It was disappointing. Don’t get me wrong, the wine is amazing, but the service has most definitely gone down hill. The only positive aspect about our visit was meeting Dan. Dan is AMAZING and made shipping the wine for our wedding last week seamless and perfect. We are so appreciative of him!
So difficult to get to. Our GPS took us 2 different ways, both of which were blocked being private drives. They seem understaffed, and the wine is much pricier compared to other better wineries in the area.
My favorite cab franc and beautiful rustic barn venue
We have been coming to this winery for several years and have historically loved it. So much so we joined the wine club. Recently it has been a bit of an operational and experience mess.
Checking out is hectic and delayed due to people not knowing passwords to get into the tablets, being wine club members we were always able to select our tastings and our last time there we could not and were told it is because they sat us at a table instead of a tasing bar, the online scheduling does not cater to wine club members' benefits so you have to book and pay and ask for a refund. We were told to select a different way to book but upon trying, it was only for the location on Keuka and not an option for the Geneva/Seneca location.
The final straw was calling to schedule a tasting for 6 people celebrating milestones because we could not book online. The person we spoke to said calling was the right move. When the group showed up they did not have anything written down for us. They did find seating for us but after sitting for at least 15 minutes without any service or acknowledgement we decided to leave.
It is a challenge to keep good resources especially when a lot of help is seasonal but the experience should be consistent from the top down. You feel the changes of staff and unfortunately the experience has not remained consistent.
I do hope they can get this in line as they have some amazing people and products when everything works together.
While not from the area, we spend a fair amount of time up in the Finger Lakes. We've become members of wine clubs from multiple FLX wineries and make an effort to visit our faves, as well as seek out new experiences every time we're in the area. Ravines is without question our favorite winery in the region. Morten and his crew produce a wide range of varietals and each is magnificently crafted. There isn't a weak spot on their list. Add to that that wonderful hospitality overseen by Lisa and the tasting room crew and every visit is a treat. I highly recommend making the effort to get over to their Keuka tasting room if you're able for a uniquely different vibe. Can't recommend Ravines highly enough.
The NY Times best wines under $20. Dry Riesling is delicious and staff a joy.
Great wine and service !
We are local and is actually our go to place for wine. It's definitely annoying that you can't take White Springs Rd to the winery but this is not their fault. Everyone has always been kind, easy to conversate with and welcoming. We never had more than 5 with us so can't comment on reservations, etc.
The guy from Maine made our day!! Had a lovely tasting here. Nice place with a layed back vibe!
Amazing wines in a beautiful setting. Couldn’t recommend more!

Before we got out of the vehicle, there was someone calling to us saying we can only have our dog on the “patio” (hot gravel in the sun). It is 95F outside and not one umbrella was open. The patio they have was half covered in sun and the cushions were so thin they didn’t need to be there. Can only do a flight no tastings if you have a fur baby. Do not recommend their patio if you have a dog. Unfortunately we left to eat at another winery with our dog so we didn’t get to try the wines. Skip if you love dogs!
Wonderful tasting with Erin! She was knowledgeable and super friendly! She helped make our 30th anniversary memorable!
First and foremost, ignore Google Maps when attempting to find the Geneva location. You cannot get to this vineyard from either White Springs Road or White Springs Lane. You must approach west to east from Pre-Emption Road. Mind you that you can see the tasting room off in the distance from either of those two approaches but you will be greeted with signs that say not to proceed down these roads to the vineyard in sight.
We eventually arrived. The setting was nice. The kids serving us didn't communicate with each other well such that we told them we just wanted a glass of wine but they wanted to start serving a flight. They started us off wth their signature dry Riesling and then waited for us to either finish them or pour them out. Then they poured the wine we wanted into the same glasses. This wasn't the best performance we've seen to say the least.
Amazing location and tasting rooms, friendly staff, excellent wines. I highly recommend it!
Would give them 0 stars, not accommodating. We tried to go today, had a larger party but were willing to split up, the winery was not busy. The hostess was rude and not helpful. Would suggest going to other wineries, or breweries like Ardennes that are inviting and accommodating.
