Great winery! Stunning views off of the back of the building and plenty of wine options
Lovely restaurant with a terrace overlooking the vineyards and lake. Fast, friendly service.
The menu was a bit surprising - from a winery restaurant, you’d expect something more refined than pizza.
Still, we had a wonderful evening, enjoyed the atmosphere, and the local wine was excellent and reasonably priced.
Our group of 7 was looking forward to an anniversary trip and had planned to start our day at Ventosa Vineyards. When we arrived at 10:00 there were no other customers in the winery. We asked for a tasting for 7 people. The lady at the front said we are not allowed to do any tastings because their tasting bar only holds 10 people (which makes no sense since there was not a single person in the winery). I asked the lady if we can just split our group into different times of 4 people then 3 people. She told us since we walked in with 7 people instead of 6 people we then needed a reservation and we will not be served unless we order a full bottle or full glasses of wine regardless of the fact that they had no customers.
As a group of business owners we decided to leave and go to Three Brothers which is a very common sense and customer focused business. We would never recommend Ventosa to a group of people coming to the Finger Lakes since they do not even attempt to accommodate their customers even when they have no other customers in the winery. Three Brothers is the better place right down the road who appreciates their customers and takes care of them as well.
Extremely small pours, beautiful view ,nice pourer but at the price I did expect over a 3/4 oz pour. The wine itself was good. The whites were best but in Fingerlakes that is to be a norm. There version of a Bordeaux was my favorite! Did leave with a few bottles for my bar😁
Unfortunately this is low on our day of tastings at Seneca Lake,
Next time we would give this a miss! Staff were lovely, but wines, not our tastes.
Samples were served in plastic testers with one in a glass, that after you have finished, you add the other tastes to! Oh my.. usually a big no! No!
Definately one of the more touristy stops, which we will not be returning to in the future.
Our suggestion, perhaps check out surrounding wineries and give this a miss.
Every detail of our wedding was truly perfect. We always knew Ventosa was beautiful but our initial walk through really sealed the deal when we heard all that you had to offer – the day-of coordination & setup, the in-house catering with delicious food, the accommodations of all allergies all had us excited to book.
I have to say, Ventosa was so easy to deal with from our first visit right through our pickup of our cake and décor. Jackie Pollino was incredibly patient, responsive, accommodating and sweet. She had great recommendations and was thinking ahead for me when I was in a whirlwind the day of. I completely forgot to fill the wine vessel for our wine mixing ceremony, and I specifically told her I planned to do it myself. Then, I got busy and forgot to set any of it up. She caught that I missed it and took care of it immediately. My mistake could have ruined my ceremony but she saved the day. Every staff member made it their mission to set up my décor to my exact specifications, taking care with all the delicate pieces and everything was even packed back up so neatly and protected after, too.
The mansion next door - RENT IT! You will be so glad your bridal suite is steps away from your ceremony site. A bridal party's dream - many spacious bathrooms, plenty of natural light, easy parking and entry for your vendors. This impeccably maintained, historic and opulent home made for absolutely stunning photos, and our rehearsal dinner went beautifully here, too. The view of the vines and lake is like no other on Seneca. Staff helped us select the right tent to have brought in for the deck and were accommodating of an early delivery. The ability to get ready right on property made everything so easy for us and our guests. Having to travel would have eaten up precious time that morning.
Your bartenders did an amazing job of keeping the party flowing and lines short while being sure not to let things get out of control. That is not easy in a crowd of 130 or more.
All food was delicious, hot and cooked to perfection. We got a ton of compliments from guests about the quality, taste and presentation. Their food is simple and classic - they are brilliant at the basics, but elevated.
Staff made sure my husband and I had an abundance of appetizers and drinks available right at our sweetheart table so we could enjoy the night and socialize vs. waiting in line, or even worse, going hungry on our big day.
It was such a sweet touch for staff to pack up a few containers of my “late night bites” garbage plates for us to snack on later that night. My cake was also expertly wrapped and protected so I could get it home safely to freeze.
Serving wine made from their own vineyard, and their signature Tuscan decor, gave the place a unique and boutique feel - you won't feel like you're in a cookie cutter, rinse and repeat venue like some reception halls.
Staff even helped me fill out my marriage certificate which I nearly forgot to do.
We quite literally could not have asked for more from this venue and team. They thought of it all and made it happen, most of the time without even being asked. 10/10 experience. Booking a wedding can be high stress and is a significant investment. Looking back, we would choose Ventosa over and over again.
We just had our wedding there last weekend and everything went absolutely perfect because of Jackie, Phyllis and the rest of the amazing staff! Aside from the beautiful view and beautiful venue, the food was AMAZING. Our guests are still raving about it.
Jackie helped so much making our day so special as the onsite coordinator! Constant communication, updates, helped set up and MUCH more.
10/10 recommend- our guests said it was the best wedding they’ve ever been to! If you are debating on venues… choose Ventosa!!
We had a great lunch here today. And the glass of Pinot Noir was extremely tasty.
My husband & I enjoyed the wine & especially the view
Great wine and good deals. The food looked great, though we didn’t try it. The porch has an amazing view and is perfect on a sunny day. Unfortunately, the staff weren’t very welcoming and seemed unsure why we were there — they even asked, “What can we help you with?” at a winery, which felt odd and uninviting.

Beautiful vineyard, but I wish they had sweet wines
Too expensive for average food. Did not enjoy!
Beautiful Patio and the Cab was good. Chardonnay was also good. Prosciutto and pear pizza was tasty. During music nights the inside seating gets taken very fast. Plenty of outside deck seating looking out on the lake but no heaters. Service was pleasant. Plenty of parking.
We had our wedding at Ventosa Vineyards, and it was the most wonderful experience and event! The views are gorgeous, the vineyards themselves are spectacular, and guests have told us it was the best food they've ever had at a wedding! The staff there could not have been more friendly or accommodating to work with. Whether you are just visiting Seneca Lake and stopping in for a tasting, or looking to plan an event, you have to make sure Ventosa is on your radar! We are so grateful to them for helping us plan the best day ever!
People wanted to close while we were trying to buy wine. Very rude employees
