We had 4 of us and 2 of us had decent meals. The artichoke dip had bagged Tostitos chips and the chicken sandwich was dry and bland. That being said, Shout out for the potato skins which were quite tasty and their signature Crown Royal BBQ wings were way, way good! Waffle fries too!
Atmosphere was great to watch a game and they had a nice draft selection. We’d go again, but food could be better.

Good quality pizza, wings, salads and pub food. Good selection of beer. Lots of TVs to watch sports. Service can be tricky at times. Beware kitchen closes on certain evenings. I would check before you go. We went there to get some chicken wings after a show at UB and the kitchen was closed. Also went there during a buffalo Bills Sunday night game and the kitchen was closed. Did not like that. Closes during a Bills game? Otherwise a very good place for food and drinks.
The servers were great but food took a while and the owner was yelling at employees in full view of our table. Bad vibes. Feel awful for the folks that work there. Seems like the kitchen is spread too thin and the servers are treated poorly.

This will probably be the most honest review you’ll ever read. If you want the best wings EVER, Anchor Bar DOWNTOWN (not any other location - EAT IN ONLY). If you want the best pizza, Imperial Pizza. If you want the best calzone, Lanova‘s. If you want the best fish fry, Dublin Ireland. Let’s face it. No one will go out of their way to go to these places unless they’re close or at least, closer. This doesn’t take away from anything Amherst Pizza has to offer. They come in a close 2nd, and that’s an amazing place to be. But, if you want the best chicken finger or sausage/steak & cheese sub, Amherst Pizza. If you want the best potato skins, Amherst Pizza. If you want the 2nd best pizza around, Amherst Pizza.
To address some of the other reviews, is Amherst Pizza perfect all the time? No. Is anyone? Do they get busy? Yes. Do they make mistakes? Yes. Who doesn’t? But in my experience and the many people we know who go there, they get it right 95% of the time. Humans get tired. Humans work overtime. Humans have bad days. So if you want to rate this company based on real life, this is a 5 star pizza/chicken wing/sub/bar restaurant. We find the bar/restaurant a little small. It would be great if they can consider expanding more than just the terrace for the summer. Maybe they wouldn’t seem so busy if they actually had a larger space and possibly add live indoor music. That said, their pizza is substantial (they do not skimp on ingredients), delicious and use those spicy cups of pepperoni that are awesome. We wouldn’t order our pizza from any other local place especially when there is a party. The chicken wings are good and the dry rub is excellent. They have one of the best chicken finger and steak/sausage subs around if not the best. They are a little pricier than other sub places, but it’s worth it because you get what you pay for. The bartenders are friendly and knowledgeable. They have many IPAs, other beers on tap and the seasonal drinks are awesome. They have live music twice a week in the summer, which is such an awesome, awesome, awesome thing to have. We probably went 5 more times than we would have last summer because of the live music.
Bottom line: This is an excellent pizza/wings/sub/potato skins/bar casual place to hang out especially in the summer when there is more room and music. It’s also an awesome place to order for a party. Yes, they are a little pricey, but if you go with your local chain to save a few bucks, you will get subpar food. We did this once and regretted it.
Suggestion: It would be nice if they had more discounts on wings, pizza, drinks or other items during the week or for special events like other local places do. We found ourselves going to another local place because they had “50 cent wing day” when we really wanted to go to Amherst Pizza. Also, live bands during the winter would be great. We realize space is limited inside, but maybe there’s a creative way to do it??
Recommendation: We would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to relax with a few drinks, have an awesome pizza that doesn’t skimp on ingredients, a great selection of wings, excellent subs, and the best potato skins around.

I used to love this place, but man…times have changed. Last time I got a half a Chicken finger sub there, it had one small chicken finger on it. The wraps have just not been that good. The place is expensive for what you get and although it’s good, the consistency just isn’t there enough these days…especially not for the price.

$31.50 for this and it was 30 min behind pickup time. Im fine w the waiting, however letting this go out the door is a joke regardless how busy you are. First time, last time.

Just not a good place to watch the Bills game. A lot of TVs but they can’t turn up the audio so can’t hear the game adequately.🤷♂️. However, the food and service was very good.

Food is extremely overpriced (freezer food). Cocktails are gross, even when ordering a higher shelf liquor. This “Cajun chicken” salad is $14. Most of the staff is friendly.

Used to be good, but you can't tell anymore... maybe a kitchen open past 9pm on a fri night might help. Fix your website listed hours. Dumb, such a shame.

Unbelievably bad experience on a Friday night. 2 hours to get food?? We had my family including a toddler with us. When we finally got our food, my daughter waited another 20 minutes to get her salad? Really? When we asked earlier in the evening to speak to the
Manager we were told he’s too busy. We’ve gone here for years but now never again. Multiple customers left. Wish we did the same. Terrible customer care and food. We will be sure to tell everyone we know. Avoid! Poorest management ever!
