Great place! Little tough to find coming from Ithaca but well worth the trip. Brisket And sides were great. Especially the banana pudding for dessert. Well worth the trip.people that work there were very friendly. Your owner came out and visited with us made you feel appreciated.

My husband and I chose Smokey Legend BBQ to cater our wedding appetizers and dinner this past September and they did not disappoint!! Everyone raved about the BBQ and said it was the best wedding food they ever had! Shout out to the entire SL staff, especially to Rachel who was so great through the whole process from taste testing to contract, payment and day-of coordination. Everything went so smooth. We should have ordered more cheesy corn because guests couldn’t get enough. People are still talking about the food months later, especially the smoked salmon appetizer. I was also so thrilled to see the appetizer set up after the ceremony. It was beautiful! Thank you for doing such an amazing job. We’ll be stopping by soon to grab some BBQ and reminisce about our wedding day!

We loved having Smokey Legend cater our wedding. We had caprese skewers, fruits, grilled veggies, mac n cheese, ribs, and Cornell chicken catered for us. It was all so delicious and we had many guests tell us about how much they enjoyed the food. Plus, there was a ton of food so everyone got their fill and leftovers!

Smokey's is a local town treasure. I normally get the brisket and cheesy corn, yum ? They sometimes have banana pudding that's pretty much awesome! If your a fan of vinegar sauces then you'll like the Alabama chicke. If you're on the fence between other BBQ places this one's a good one. Personally, I think they're better than dinosaur bbq!

the best food ever hands down there is a sign outside the door that says the food makes you emotional that's a understatement I almost cried when I realized there open two days a week but I loved the food

Everyone, everywhere! Smokey Legend Barbecue has lost the magic.Spent $100.00 on cold (leftover) brisket, way over sweet/watery/under cooked peppers in the beans (both being the reason for the 2 hour drive), cold cheesey corn and the two new items I tried.... missed the mark.Some disappointment for sure.

Anytime we have bbq somewhere else, Smokey is the standard they have to meet, or is that meat ??Catch them on Fridays in Owego over the winter, out in Maine, their food truck at events. Don't hesitate to try them for catering. You won't be disappointed.

Ribs were tough and dry. Pulled pork was tender but required BBQ sauce. The brisket was good and tender. The chili was very good. The mac-n-cheese was good, and so was the cheesey corn. Oh, the corn bread was excellent, not dry. Was moist and sweet.??Will give the ribs another chance, and look forward to trying the white BBQ chicken. Hopefully it will be moist and tender. ?
