Great event space and friendly, helpful staff! Everyone had a fun time and commented on the delicious beer and canned cocktails?

Slid in from the airport for a couple cold ones and I must say totally worth a quick stop for any weary traveler. The beers are fantastic.

The best brewery in NYC. Great bartenders and a nice food rotation

Neighborhood gem and dog friendly! Original Finback Brewery location. They have a rotating selection of stuff on tap and to-go. They offer small and regular pours of stuff on tap. There are picnic style tables and high tops on barrels. There's also some Finback merchandise for sale.Recently got a fridge that displays 4 packs and bottles for sale. At the bar, they have a menu that describes their drink options in depth. They have delicious food pop-ups and when there's no food pop-ups, they have a list of places they recommend for local delivery. There is free residential street parking.5/5. Highly recommend.

Great local home spun brewery in the heart of queens. They make a great batch of microbrews and you can tell they put thought and effort in the wonderful beers. Small area to hang out but when food pop ups are here on weekends its a great place for friends and family to partake in the beers for a afternoon. Great informative service and they have plenty of beers by the can. Great for a beach or bbq to bring along.

Five stars, by Jove, five glorious, effervescent stars! Ah, Finback. a modern cathedral where hops and barley are transubstantiated into divine elixirs that beguile the senses, invigorate the spirits, and occasionally impair the faculties (but only modestly, because we're all responsible adults here, aren't we?).From the moment I swaggered in, caressed by the aroma of malt doing the samba with yeasts in a sacred dance, I was enamored. The art of brewing is an alchemy best left to wizards and Hogwarts graduates. But here, they've demystified it without losing the magic. Every sip of their "Ale-mighty Concoction" reveals subtleties usually reserved for sommelier parlance. Dark with a hint of mischief, like a Rolling Stones album or a flirtatious librarian.Let's talk community--a word as effervescent as the beers that populate this paradise of fermentation. Not only do they serve humanity's oldest social lubricant, but they also host events, support local charities, and basically act as the alcohol-fueled nexus of all societal good.Ah, but let us pivot, ever so briefly, to address the inexplicable three star review lodged by a certain Billy Squier lookalike who goes by the moniker of Glenn V.. A gentleman, and I use the term loosely, who has styled himself as the corpulent Siskel and Ebert of Yelp. A recent DUI arrest in Florida (the Sunshine State, where good decisions go to die) suggests that this man's judgment is as diluted as light beer at a fraternity kegger. His critique of this establishment is akin to reviewing an opera after hearing only the tuning of the orchestra's instruments. He must've mistaken the brewery for a support group for the tone-deaf and delusional. I wish him a future rich in public transport and sobriety checkpoints. In conclusion, Finback is a suds-soaked Shangri-La that deserves all its frothy accolades. If I could give it six stars, I would, but modern technology is too prudish to allow such libertine indulgences. Visit, imbibe, and forget about the naysayers. Especially if they're packing two film critics into one corpulent, DUI-ridden package. Cheers!

Finback Brewery is a craft brewery that opened in Queens, New York in January 2014. It was founded by business partners Basil Lee and Kevin Stafford. Lee is a licensed professional architect, but he had a passion for drinking craft beer. He home-brewed for a few years with his friend and fellow craft beer aficionado Stafford (a graphic artist), and then the two decided to pursue their dream of opening a craft brewery in New York City. They first tried to find a location in Brooklyn, but multiple deals fell through. Finally they were able to secure a location in the Glendale section of Queens. Originally they were going to call their brewery 'Narwhal' until Sierra Nevada Brewing Company released a beer with the same name. Then the partners were inspired to name their brewery 'Finback' after a real finback whale became beached and died in Queens in 2012. Lee and Stafford struggled for so long to secure their location that they too sometimes felt like a "beached whale". In spite of the fact that the brewery was a solid 30-minute walk from the nearest subway station, lines soon began to form around the block for their can releases. Finback's mission is to brew a variety of different beer styles with great flavor and complexity from quality ingredients and small batch artisanal brewing. A second location opened in Brooklyn in March 2020 and there are currently plans to open a third in Long Island City.I recently visited Finback's original Queens location while I was cycling around NYC. I was trying out a number of Brooklyn and Queens breweries and pizzerias and Finback was my second stop of the day. I first tasted some of their beers at DeCicco's and immediately became a huge fan. I also visited Finback's Brooklyn taproom last year, but this was my first time visiting their original taproom. The brewery is in the middle of a Glendale residential area; not quite what I was expecting. The brewery was practically empty when I arrived, but I actually prefer quiet brewery experiences to noisy and crowded ones. My passion is for hoppy unfiltered IPAs, so I decided to order a flight of four samples consisting of "Wander On" (Session IPA), "Premium" (IPA), "I See You" (Fruited Double IPA) and "Oscillation 034" (Double IPA). I enjoyed all four, but the latter two were my favorites. Overall, I had a really nice experience at Finback's original Queens location. I'll continue to drink their offerings for years to come.

Incredible brewery, best selection of hazy IPAs I’ve seen and super friendly and knowledgeable employees! Five starts is an understatement!

Great beers and cool place to visit. I grew up in Queens not too far from the brewery. It's in the middle of a residential area. Off the beaten path. Would definitely return.
