Good food, great atmosphere. Tap pilsner was solid. Service was slow, but we were in no rush.

Needs some sprucing up. Prices also have gone up so be prepared to pay more.

We had a surprise birthday party for my husband on 4/14/24 with over 30 people (many of which were kids and one adult with a wheelchair). The staff was wonderful, the food was amazing and everyone had a great time. This restaurant has been part of my husband's family for many years so it made us so happy to see that the vibe, traditions and quality of food are still being upheld. So thankful to Zum Stammtisch for a great place to gather - it was so smooth and without any stress (except for surprising my husband!).

What is this place ? Why is it so packed? Why is it such a happy jolly place with fun people to speak with? For the most part, the SO was smart enough to think a liter was the copper mug but boy was he so wrong and we ended up paying the price by downing a liter of beer each (3/4 for myself). Good beer good vibes, food spectacular. Just get what everyone else is getting ! The schnitzel and brats were delicious. Would come again, easy parking on Sunday !

Excellent place. Was just there the other day as of April 7th, 2024. Huge burgers and great German potato salad. Beers getting a little expensive at nearly 10 bucks a pop. At least what I got. German food is definitely not healthy. lol. It's very underrated since it's so good but never gets the hype. Had one of those huge pretzels too. Excellent and soft.Their home fries are outstanding. Next door is great with their deli. Got some stuff to go. The Forest bologna is top notch. To me it's a little better than Boars Head and that's saying a lot to me. The Frikadellen is very good. Kind of like chopped meat with spices in it. At 2.25 a pop it's worth it. Roast beef is quite good. Their chop meat is very good. Round pretzels you can use as bread for a sandwich as well.. Nice beers up front and various mustards. A really good place.

Mugs of beer and huge plates of food, what's not to love? Started with the beer, made the mistake of ordering a liter instead of 0.5L since I wanted to try more of what was on tap. The kasespatzle was a little under seasoned, but mix in the pieces of bacon and it was good. The wurstplatte was great and don't forget to try the mustard to cut down on the richness of the dish. But my favorite was the reislingschnitzel. Huge crispy breaded cutlet and a nice savory sauce. The fried potatoes underneath are completely hidden, but are a great side. Go hungry, leave sleepy and satisfied!

The alchemy these guys do with the humble potato shocked me to my core. The chicken riesling was delicious but honestly upstaged by the home fries. Unbelievable!Great ambiance and one of those thick, laminated menu books that let you know from the jump you will have a wonderful time. And as stuffed as you'll be, they have a lovely attached counter shop where you can buy a strudel for later (which you really must do)

I tried many German restaurants in USA but mostly it wasn’t authentic. Finally I could try this place and was so happy to eat real German food with German mustard(senf). It’s a little bit far from Manhattan but I’ll visit soon again. Pretzel(brezel) with mustard(senf), Sausages (Würste) with sauerkraut and potato salad (Kartoffelsalat), schnitzel with German beer were great!! Es war sehr schön und lecker!! Ich war zufrieden.
