Pioneer Cafe is the cutest warmest gem of a cafe in upstate NY. Worth a long drive to enjoy the cozy atmosphere, hot coffee, and some of the BEST diner breakfast you will have in your life. The French toast was the stand out but every bite was perfect! Loved it!

Very cute cafe! Great service, food and atmosphere! We had turkey sandwiches real turkey, stuffing and cranberry sauce mashed potatoes with turkey gravy just like sitting down for a thanksgiving meal. It was delicious! and they gave you more than enough food. When we're in the area again we would definitely go back!
We visited this restaurant twice while we were in the area for a wedding.The food was great. It has a real family feeling. The staff worked hard to ensure that all of the diners were satisfied and fed promptly.

The place wasn't busy when we visited, but it took a long time to be sat and served. The waiter wasn't rude but wasn't friendly either. I heard both waiters on that day tell another table they were sorry for everything and the cook was new, however this wasn't told to any other table, nor was any form of apology, compensation, or remedy offered. Nothing was wrong with our order and the food was just okay. However, due to the attitudes of the front staff, we will not be returning.

Exceeded my expectations! Service was top notch; wait staff were SO quick, hospitable and smart! My over medium eggs were actually over medium (it's rare that cooks do this well). The homemade English muffins were divine! I miss The Pioneer Cafe already!!

The homemade English muffins are incredible.Kid-friendliness: Children are welcomed and accepted for being children.Parking: Pioneer Cafe is a rural restaurant with it's own spacious parking lot. There is a quantity of marked handicapped parking.Wheelchair accessibility: The dining areas are spacious and wheelchairs and walkers are easily accommodated without an embarrassing fuss
