Ordered chicken w/broccoli/beef fried rice w/o onions combo, and small beef lo mein for takeout. Picked up the order, asked for duck sauce, and got 1 packet. Got home to realized they didn’t include the beef lo mein. No biggie, went back and reordered. Got back home all ready to eat, and the chicken was seriously undercooked, like rubbery mush undercooked! The beef in lo mein was also undercooked as well as the huge onion pieces! To top it off had onions in beef fried rice, and egg roll was so greasy it literally left a puddle on wrapper. Everything also had a weird peppery taste. Second time we have ordered from there, and the food sucks! If you want good Chinese food in Gloversville, go to PEKING. Don’t make the same mistake we made and assume that just because House Chen is in the old Joy Wok location that food should be just as good!

Haven’t been to the House Chen in a long time. When I heard they started to sell ramen bowls I had to try them out. When I went to the restaurant, the inside was remodeled and looked great. I ordered a Mango milk tea and the shoyu ramen. I was very pleased with the flavors of both the meal and the beverage. I am very happy there is a location close to me that sells ramen bowls at a good price.

House Chen is the Pinnacle of take-out Chinese food. Their sauces are delectable, dumplings made in house, and service is phenomenal. Their house lo mein is spectacular. You will not regret these reasonably-priced delicacies.
Always mf delicious. My favorites are the ramen and crab rangoons.

1st time my son & I had ordered take out here. We both had bourbon chicken, pork fried rice & an egg roll. Best fried rice I've had at a Chinese restaurant in ages! Veggies are fresh, rice cooked perfect not starchy & stuck together. Bourbon chicken was delish, few hard pieces here & there but no biggy. Egg roll was too greasy for me, so I wrapped it in a paper towel, it helped?Oil makes a difference if it's close to being eighty sixed. From Brooklyn & parents owned a German-American restaurant in the surrounding area 50+ yrs ago. So I'm fussy lol Would've given a 5 ***** but didn't bc of egg roll. I'll be back to try something new!

Tried to give you a second chance, sorry I did. Another waste of $40.Do you even taste what you sell.Beef dish slimy with funny taste, dumplings nothing but thick doh, pork lomein like veg soup.Time before chix stick, 2 orders, hard and dry, dogs wouldn't eat them. Won ton soup like hot water.Could it be Florida has better Chinese takeout than New York??$90 worth of terrible Chinese takeout. Delivery guy cute as hell!!!
