Delicious baked goods!!! We stopped by to get lunch prior to Legoland with the kids. The bread on the BLT and the avocado toast was fabulous. The doughnuts were out of this world. We loved how delicious and fresh everything was. Fantastically solid lunch choice. Coffee was great as well, but the baked good stole the show.

I’ve been a customer here since they opened and it’s the absolute BEST place to get coffee, lattes, breakfast and lunch!! The donuts, cookies, croissants, etc are about the best I’ve ever had!! The food is prepared with thought and care. Expect to get greeted with a smile by the staff; they truly are the best:). Grady and family treat you like you are a guest in their home. Really love this place..

Took a trip to Café Yen in Middletoen, NY. When we arrived, it was a little noisy inside.
The barista that greeted us was nice and welcomed us upon entering the establishment. The decór was decent enough, though not quite what we expected.from the photos we saw online.
We figured out what we wanted. Hot chocolates for the kids, a latte for my wife, and I went off-script and ordered a peppermint mocha. A change from the normal "House Blend" I like to get before deviating and trying new offerings.
It took them a pretty long time to make our drinks, and for some reason, the barista lost his smile and pleasant demeanor and was getting a little short with me whenever I tried to say something or ask him.a question. I don't know what happened to him, but he seemed to get less nice as time went along. Maybe it was the small talk we attempted at how nice the decoration on the chocolate and coffee was?
They also served our drinks staggered. Like, we got one hot chocolate, then a few minutes later one coffee, then they worked on other people's drinks, then came back with another hot chocolate, followed by another few minutes wait, then finally the last hot chocolate. As we were getting ready to leave, we noticed we still had a latte to receive.
They were out of lids after our third drink order, and he seemed annoyed that I asked for more lids. I don't know if they were busier than normal, but his attitude got worse as we waited, and as far as we saw, only one other person, maybe two, ordered something while we waited.. All in all, the order took about 20, 25 minutes. We had five drinks; two coffees and three hot chocolates.
The kids said the chocolate was good, but they like pretty much anything. In all of our outings, they didn't have a favorite, and said all of them taste the same. Weird.
My wife liked her latte enough. I DID NOT like the choice I made. It didn't really taste like peppermint, and the chocolate had a weird flavor. It was kind of a chalky mess.
All in all, this was not a pleasant experience for us. Needless to say (but I will, anyway), we won't be going back. Maybe other people will have a better experience. We, ourseves don't need to try again.
Some places are not for everyone.
Edit: The owner contacted me and accused me of faking the pics and the review. I'll admit this review isn't new. As I went with my family a little over a year ago, so maybe things are different, but I certainly went there. Everything that I said was 100% true, and I certainly took those pictures. I've no need to"fake a review," and this only proves to me that the attitude of the staff here is less than pleasant. I got the name wrong, but the pics show I was there. We visit a lot of coffee shops, and I'm not from here originally. I definitely didn't know my way around as much as I do now. I posted this originally on my FB page and was moving my reviews from FB to my google. As you can see, these pics are from my FB post, along with the date and from my camera roll.
An apology and an offer to visit again and make it right might have been a better approach.

To start: atmosphere is kind of awkward lol there was a couple who was in front of us and then they insisted we were in front of them and said we should go first. Didn't wanna go back and forth so we said sure.
The girl who took our order messed somethjng up. I think she may have over charged.
The donut was quite delicious. I told bae let's share 1 and we can dip it in our coffees.
So service I'll give a 4 because like I said the girl took down an incorrect order for me. When I said this is wrong they offered to make a new one but they would just throw the wrong one away so why waste food. I told them it's fine and the incorrect drink was actually really good. I can appreciate that.
I'd come back here with bae, why not.

Cute little coffee shop that I randomly stopped at as it was on the way back to the city after a wedding weekend. The person taking our order was friendly and sweet. The barista was good but definitely lacked... Energy? Enthusiasm? It was a Sunday morning, so I guess I couldn't blame him. I got the cardamom rose and it was satisfying 😌

food is great, employees are nice- the owner is an ahole. my girlfriend and i always go there, multiple times a week and today we came in with drinks from starbucks. we didn’t know they didn’t allow outside drinks because there was no signage posted- but we were quickly kicked out when we sat down by the owner. he rudely raised his voice and told us we can’t have starbucks in here. i thought there were copious other ways that could’ve been said. i digress. me and my girlfriend are sitting outside on the wet bench’s and tables waiting for our food that we ordered for there. two to go bags are brought out, the yogurt we ordered was about a third of the size of the portion you get if you don’t get it to go and no spoons were given in the bag- forks however! i go back in to ask for spoons and i’m met with another attitude from this man. the food here and the employees really are great, but this guy doesn’t deserve the praise
We recently moved to the area and I had been looking for a “craft coffee” shop. I am so glad we found Cafe Yen and it is so close to our new house. The coffees are amazing, the owner is very nice and knowledgeable about origin, roasting etc. The syrups are homemade, I always get lavender and it never disappoints. The milks they use are also the best quality and they always have my favorite which is Oatly barista edition :-) (I am a cofee snob lol) They have a great menu as well and they use high quality ingredients. The staff is super nice and friendly and the atmosphere is very chill. They are also pet friendly and make you feel welcome which is hard to find around here. If you are in the area definitely stop by!

A new age atmosphere with what seems to be an owner with little to no care on customer service. My second time and I waited close to 30 mins for a chai latte, 15 mins for a plain croissants. I got the croissants after my child cried for it. The owner looked at me blank in the face with no idea to my order or when I would get the croissants and no apologies. Paid $17 for three things and the audacity to ask for a tip on them stupid machines! People’s narcissistic tendencies are going crazy these days because I don’t need to tip you for taking my order and it take you an overwhelming amount of time. I wasn’t the only one waiting for a while. Little complaints are received because due to the open space people go there to just hang out with their kids. Also since it’s Goshen little to no cafes this size. This place wouldn’t last in the city

Second time having the Falafel Wrap and just as delicious as the first time. Lavender Lemonade is a nice iced tea to wash down the wrap. Also had a Thai Green Iced Tea with no sweetener because I wanted to taste it, and yes, it delivered with a nice clean refreshing taste.
Love the atmosphere, vibe is very simplistic and earthy using some basic elements. Plants being one of them. I saw a chess/ checkers board in the far room.
It was a toss up as to whether we wanted to sit outside or stay inside. We chose inside today, but would love to sit outside next time! Very welcoming and unpretentious vibe out there as well. Tables are equipped with umbrellas for those that are concerned with the sun. There’s also a nice size fan running.
Customer service was great and very cheerful. We’re locals and love supporting our local eateries. Definitely a place you’d like to meet up with a friend or two and be able to talk without having to contend with the noises of hustle and bustle of the perhaps larger franchise type places.

Café Yen is such a nice cafe with the most welcoming atmosphere, tasty food and drinks, and friendly staff. The customers all know each other and bring their dogs. It’s a nice addition to the community.
