Dobbins' Tavern at the Stagecoach Inn in Goshen, NY

My husband and I went for our 30th anniversary and it was Lovely from the time we entered the restaurant. The staff was courteous, smiling , helpful and knowledgeable. The food was FABULOUS from the bread right up to dessert . Great experience!!!!

Went to Dobbs Tavern for a birthday celebration and we had an amazing time. Our waitress was wonderful and full of energy. The place was beautiful and quaint . The food was spectacular ! came out fresh and hot of the kitchen. Must try the flip French Martini! the short rib tacos with pickled onions as an appetizer or shareable. Our entrees were great ! He had the 14oz Prime NY Strip Steak which was char grilled to perfection and the seafood Alfredo was amazing it was made with truffle cream sauce that was smooth, and creamy. For the end we delighted in an individual raspberry cake light airy and very raspberry. what a dream! loved this place! will be back again!

The INN was excellent, the staff was very friendly and helpful. Dinner was great, very good presentation, and the atmosphere was delightful. We especially liked all of the different options for seating, such as in the sunroom, outside porch, by the fireplace, etc.. Hope to go again soon.

one of those horrific experiences that hasn't happened in a long time, despite the beautiful setting and good food, some of it outstanding, eg the burger, the server at the end provided us with an itemized bill that totaled 295, but after we gave her the credit card, a receipt showed us a payment owed of 450 plus tip, without the itemized bill to check on, my wife was about to pay the 450 until I said, wait a minute wasn't it just 300, where did that new amount come from? we asked the waitress who said, I made a mistake--funny how the mistakes are always in the direction of too much payment, never too little, at a restaurant! anyways, you can judge how you want to. For me the suspicious part was the itemized total bill of 295 wasn't with the next bill to sign, which only showed a total of 450...

We had an exceptional experience at the Stagecoach Inn. The food and drinks were great, and the service was warm and attentive. A special highlight for my kids was the homemade cookies we received at the end of our meal—such a thoughtful touch! We enjoyed dining on the covered porch, which added to the wonderful ambiance. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely return the next time we're in Goshen.

My shrimp fradiavo was absolutely delicious. My Mother Inlaw got the pork chop. It was extremely tough and almost like it was reheated. My wife got the Greek salad and the marinated tomatoes were to die for. Our waitress was very friendly and had a great personality. Great service.

The dinner, drinks, and service last night were superb. The Chef was spot on. Best restaurant in Orange County in my opinion. We had raw oysters, shrimp cocktail, strip steak, short rib pasta, and sliders. Just too full for dessert but it's always good.

From the time we entered we felt unwelcome. We had reservations and yet seemed surprised and unready when we arrived a 5 PM. We got seated on the runway from the kitchen. White table clothes and candles, don't be fooled. Not romantic at all. Loud 70's music staff obviously getting ready for a busy night and could care alessanout us. Food was good but nothing really special. Presentation was non existent. Do t think we will be back any time soon

This is the second time I've been here for dinner. First visit, in January, with my wife, was exceptional. Great service, food was delicious. This time, a party of 4. Saturday night, 7:15 reservation. Again, the food was really great- my Pappardelle Bolognese with short ribs was spicy, with a hint of crispy-ness to the meat, and wonderful. My wife's pear-seared sesame crusted tuna was also excellent. Now, on to the service. The place was severely understaffed. Like, one waitress. For the entire restaurant. The bartender and hostess were trying to help as much as they could, to no avail. The bus boy looked like he'd never held a pitcher before in his life. Despite all this, the owner walked around obliviously in a tee shirt and shorts. Our mains took 45 minutes to arrive. Our drinks came out haphazardly. After waiting 15 minutes for our chocolate mousse dessert order, we were finally told they were out of it. I was hoping this night was an aberration- that staff had called out sick. But I just read a review from two days ago with the same complaint. The food and the ambience of the Stagecoach Inn are truly great. I don't know what happened in the 5 months since our last visit, but if they don't get their staffing situation fixed pronto, they'll be out of business by Christmas.

This is one of my favorite restaurants. Last night it was disorganized. The service stunk. The food was good as always but did not come out all together. No spoons. No pen to sign the check. Not sure what happened. I will go back but if it disorganized again - I will never ever go back.

We are in the tavern- lovely space. Large party in next room but that didn't interfere with our experience. The whole experience was relaxing and the food was delicious! Definitely going back for dinner and drinks.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Stagecoach Inn and was thoroughly impressed! The ambiance was cozy and inviting, making it the perfect spot for a relaxing evening out for my wife birthday. The food was exceptional, with each dish expertly prepared and presented. The service was also top-notch, with friendly and attentive servers who made sure every need was met. Overall, I highly recommend Stagecoach Inn for a delicious and enjoyable dining experience. 5 stars without a doubt!

My husband and I ate at the Stagecoach Inn Restaurant two nights in a row. The appetizers were very good on both nights. The hamburger was excellent on both nights. The chicken parmigiana was too salty. The pasta bolognese was too salty and several members of our party could not eat it. If I am ever in Goshen, NY, I will go back but will choose wisely from the menu and avoid pasta and stick to red meat entrees.

After many years, this is finally one of the best restaurants in orange county. The ambience is spectacular. I don't know which is better the ambience, the high quality of the food, the fantastic wine, and the care we received. every suggestion was up to par and beyond. The whole experience was amazing. The staff is incredibly fantastic and attentive. Stagecoach is a very lovely place—one you really want to dress up for to have an especially nice evening out.
