Dick & Jenny’s is not a restaurant. It is a NATIONAL POWERHOUSE. Walking through the doors is like walking into Notre Dame Stadium on a crisp October Saturday — Marcus Freeman pacing the sidelines, the band playing the fight song, the deviled eggs already marching 75 yards down the field for a touchdown.

I have visited numerous times and always leave happy. This time I made a reservation online and the hostess watched for our arrival! Gumbo was some of the best I have experienced. Having lived in Louisiana where gumbo is the key indicator of a restaurant's culinary capacity, I have had some very good gumbo. Scones and cornbread were very good.
