I played in a tournament on a rainy day. The course is somewhat challenging, and it's a pretty course. Lunch and dinner were good, but not five star. Very enjoyable.
Food is great, staff is friendly and helpful for the most part. Course is in great shape. My only concern is the length of the course for seniors. It is very difficult to negotiate most of the par 4s in regulation even from the green tees. Other than that, I thoroughly enjoy River Oaks golf club.
Course is an excellent layout that is in the best condition I have seen it in, in 40 years. The only thing that was negative was the sand traps were not consistent in depth. Could use a new clubhouse too very musty and antique locker room.

Fish was good but pizza lousy.
Special event held here today. Good food and service was great.
The food was absolutely amazing. The wine was robust. The service was above and beyond. Definitely a return date.
Why did you guys aerate the greens b4 the member guest date on sat.very bad decision with possibility of bringing in new members .bad management
Diner there for fish fry. Was also on the course with my son. Course needs more color ( flowers). The difficulty of course less than expected. Played better courses for less money.
The fish dinner was great. Treated out for dinner with friends. Very nice atmosphere.

Very nice course, very well groomed and taken care of. Drainage on the course was great! Played on a very rainy day but the course dried up fast between the rain.
The course is in really nice shape, especially given our lack of rain. The greens were rolling true and smooth.
Enjoy the open atmosphere for summer enjoyment
Five stars goes out to the bartender Donna ...my husband and I sat at the bar and had a drink and Donna was very informative about the golf course, membership and she showed us the menu and I got the scorecard from the pro shop and we had fun ?
