This place is obviously a local favorite! It’s a great little house turned into a restaurant and the food is FANTASTIC!! The Fish and Chips were absolutely delicious and the Beef on Weck was by far the best we had while we explored the area! Go here! Just do it! You won’t be disappointed!

Nice visit with a great friend! Food, service good, wasn't rushed to leave as it did get pretty busy for lunch. Oddly, selected onion soup and half sandwich.. Was charged extra for the onion soup . When asked why, was advised not included with the soup and sandwich special...huh, I don't remember see that on the menu...

This place went downhill! I ordered a sandwich wrap that had 99% ice burg lettuce and 1% meat! It also cost me 20 dollars! Cutting corners to save $ apparently.

Had the BLT club and chicken soup. Good food and a beautiful location.
The food was very good as was the overall service and atmosphere. I did have an issue with the restaurant not honoring an offer I had purchased to use there even though it was a legitimate purchase, the offer had not expired, and I feel I was put in between a dispute the restaurant had with the retailer who they contracted with to put out the offer.

Wait staff was very nice. But maybe understaffed? Seemed like it took a long time for our drinks, food, and check. Not ridiculously long, so Don't mean to condemn. Burger was good, but definitely not the best in town, unless by town they mean the single stoplight. Fried bologna was very good. Desserts were unbelievably good, and picture perfect.

I have lived on the island most of my life and this restaurant has been around since before I was born. It has had many up and many downs, but consistently nothing has ever changed, especially under the Carr family ownership. The décor is beyond dated and still has carpeting from the 80's or earlier. The service is far and few in between and not very well organized. The server never asked us how our food was or if we needed anything, she brought me a skunky beer from tap. I had one sip and was grossed up and was still charged full price for it with not so much as an apology. The food quality is lacking, I got a 5oz burger and asked for it medium and it came well done. $16 dollars for that plus and extra $4 for fries. I guess the idea of a burger and fries is lost on this place. I have never had high expectations for the village in, but come back post Covid is very disappointing.

We have passed over Grand Island countless times. We decided to have dinner on the island for a change. This was a cozy converted house that was obviously a favorite of the locals, and I see why. My burger was amazing. I added mushrooms, grilled onions, and cheddar cheese. The mushrooms were amazing, worthy of the fanciest steakhouse. My husband said his beer battered fish was on point. We both left full. Great service that was attentive without being intrusive. We got there around 5 pm. We got a seat right away. By the time we left, there was a line. I think we will stop again on our next trip to Niagara Falls.
