I stopped in with a group of five other cyclists for a much needed stop in the middle of a damp and smoky group ride. Maybe we were there on an off day for the cafe, but this was a big disappointment. We arrived well before closing, but there were few options. I had an apple strudel that was nothing special; I think you could have done better from a clamshell box of six at any of our local grocery stores.
They had a sign posted that said there were no public restrooms. Unfortunately, staff informed me that this also extended to paying customers. I had to go to the Speedway across the street.
This place has such a solid rating. I hope our experience was unusual. Or maybe Bun Appetit is best visited on week days. Given my experience, I would recommend skipping it.

Stopped when I was in NY and absolutely loved the staff and goodies.. oooooooo and the coffees plus the half moon cookies yummmmmmy... highly recommend all thumbs up!!!!!
A bit pricey but worth it for small business and bakery. Love the quality of food for their sandwiches and the pastries are delicious. Definitely worth the extra money.
